Trump’s lone loss in NY is where he calls home
While Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have had more well-known campaigns, Kasich has stayed under the radar, campaigning in local town centers, and doing town halls around the Northeast.

Especially for Ohio Gov. John Kasich when he was confronted with the question that has dogged him for months – why is he still in a primary contest that he has no chance of winning?
“Governor, if you get to the convention in Cleveland and you’ve only won OH, do you think you’re qualified to be the nominee?”
How it work: “The state has a proportional primary: It doles out 14 delegates based on the statewide vote, and any candidate who receives 50 percent or more receives all 14 delegates”. However, he did acknowledge that getting to that point is “difficult” when he’s running against Kasich and Cruz. Not to worry, it’s all about the convention, stupid. Pressed by CNN, Giuliani said: “I endorse Donald Trump but I’m not part of the campaign”. “Because they know they’re not going to get enough votes to win it on the first ballot”. I mean, the Trump organization is complaining all the time about this and that.
Kasich said these types of events will go a long way to secure his success in the “delicate battle” that the Republican candidates are fighting until the convention.
Asked about New York’s recent move to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, Kasich said he believes it will cost more jobs than it creates.
What Team Kasich is saying: “Gov. Kasich proved that he is best positioned against Donald Trump in the upcoming April 26 states”.

“I’m not thrilled with the other options in the Republican party, so I hope he can come through and be successful, because I think with him we can all be successful”, Kasich supporter Mike Sullivan said. Unlike his rivals, he’s shown a willingness to play by the rules. “Even the insufferable John Kasich was able to win his own state”. But the narrative has stuck, and reporters, state and national, are trapped in it, unable to match his record with his rhetoric on the campaign trail.
