Trump’s new campaign manager: We don’t want him to lose ‘authenticity’
He promoted GOP pollster Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager. Paul Manafort, Trump’s controversial campaign chairman, will retain his title. Bannon, who was once recognized by Bloomberg Politics as the “most risky political operative in America”, will oversee the campaign staff and operations in addition to strategic oversight of major campaign initiatives. Trump was scheduled to receive his first classified national security briefing on Wednesday, and his campaign announced they would begin airing ads in four battleground states this weekend.

The campaign plans to unveil its 1st paid advertising this weekend, about Hillary Clinton, facts and figures, said Ms. Conway. “And we’re going to fight to stand with them and to stand with their families from the first day of a Trump administration”.
Trump appeared somewhat more disciplined in recent days, largely sticking to his script during a counterterrorism speech in OH on Monday and a law-and-order address outside Milwaukee on Tuesday night.
Ukrainian ties The Associated Press raised further questions about the ties between Mr Trump’s team and the former pro-Kremlin Ukrainian regime, reporting yesterday that Mr Manafort and another Trump aide, Rick Gates, had failed to disclose their efforts at influencing U.S. policy on behalf of Mr Yanukovych’s then governing party. Manafort, however, dismissed the idea that he’d accepted cash payments for his work in Ukraine as “unfounded, silly and nonsensical”.
One day after being elevated to the position in Trump’s second campaign overhaul in two months, Kellyanne Conway said the candidate’s struggling White House bid could preserve his “authenticity” and still move past a long string of controversies to focus on issues.
“Trump is Trump. I don’t think adding people or getting rid of people or changing staff is going to change that.”
“We just hope that the campaign runs smoothly from here on in”, Horn said. “It worked very well in the primaries”.
“Steve is a person who’s had unparalleled success in the private sector”, Lewandowski said. “Breitbart, even more than a Sean Hannity on Fox News, was so much a Trump campaign arm that when a Trump campaign manager man-handled one of his reporters, [Breitbart] sided with the campaign”, Rutenberg said.
“Day one was awesome”, Conway, 49, told ABC News’ Tom Llamas outside Trump Tower in New York Wednesday.
Bannon, meanwhile, has employed a take-no-prisoners approach to conservative causes that meshes with Trump’s own hard-edged personality.
“I think he has the right people advising him now”, said Sanders, a strong Trump supporter.
Trump is spending at least $1.4 million in Florida, $1 million in Pennsylvania, about $831,000 in North Carolina and $746,000 in OH, according to Kantar Media.

But these amounts pale in comparison to the $31 million the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA has spent on air since mid-June.
