Hillary Clinton’s campaign is firing back after rival Donald Trump threatened to bring a woman who had a relationship with former President Bill Clinton to Monday’s presidential debate.

Monday will mark the first official head-to-head debate of the 2016 presidential election cycle.

Trump faces Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in the first of three debates Monday. She’s been preparing for the debate at her home in Westchester, New York, and a nearby hotel, where she was spotted with aides Saturday afternoon. Trump tweeted on Saturday. The co-chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates Frank Fahrenkopf said on CNN they would “frown upon” the decision for anyone to sit in the front row simply for distraction purposes.

Flowers revealed an affair with Bill Clinton during his 1992 presidential campaign. According to a new Associated Press-Gfk poll, more than 85 per cent of likely voters backing Clinton or Trump say their minds are completely made up.

Mook said the debate “is supposed to be about how the candidates are going to make a difference” in Americans’ lives.

A spokeswoman for Clinton dismissed Trump’s threat. That poll, released Sunday, has Clinton at 40% to Trump’s 38%, with Johnson at 8% and Stein at 3%.

It’s expected to be the most watched debate in US history.

“Issues like terrorism and riots play to Donald Trump’s narrative”, Borick said.

“Even if he meets some kind of lowered bar of being semi-coherent and not having any outbursts, it’s hard to imagine he’ll avoid his own propensity for lying”, said Brian Fallon, Clinton’s campaign spokesman.

Ryan said Republicans like himself need “to go in communities where we don’t expect to get a single vote” to gain perspective and come up with solutions.

Trump told supporters at a rally Saturday in Roanoke, Virginia, that Clinton has not delivered for women and children. Asked whether he thought Russian President Vladimir Putin was a better leader than President Barack Obama, as Trump suggested, Cruz said, “I have no intention of defending everything Donald Trump says or does”.

People familiar with Clinton’s preparations say she has been working through answers to questions that hit at her lack of trustworthiness in the eyes of many Americans, a problem that has dogged her throughout the campaign.

Lazio says this year he is not supporting either major party candidate running for president.

He soon deleted the original message and tweeted again with the correct spelling of Flowers’ first name.

Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign confirmed that they had invited Dallas Mavericks owner and Trump antagonist Mark Cuban to the debate at Hofstra University in NY.
