Trump’s sole challenger Kasich to suspend campaign
Considering that polls showed Cruz had a reasonable chance in IN before the primary, Kasich may not be feeling as optimistic about their allocation plan. Those comments were made following GOP runner-up Ted Cruz bowing out of the race last night.

Kasich canceled a press conference in Virginia earlier in the day and announced he would make a statement in Columbus, Ohio, Wednesday afternoon.
It didn’t win him Indiana. Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. John Kasich of OH with no path forward. The Ohio governor, once thought to be the saviour of the moderate, establishment wing of the Republican Party, could have soldiered on, but with little money and no hope of winning, such a course bordered on the absurd.
Cruz lost the IN primary to Donald Trump on Tuesday, despite the only other remaining candidate, John Kasich, yielding the state to Cruz so he could take on the NY billionaire alone. We have to bring unity.it is a handsome thing to watch, and a lovely thing to behold.
“This country, which is very divided in so many different ways, is going to become one attractive, loving country, and we are going to love each other”, Mr Trump says.
“I am confident I can unite much of” the GOP, Trump said Wednesday on NBC’s “Today Show”, as several prominent Republicans said they’d prefer Democrat Hillary Clinton over the TV celebrity.
But other Republicans said unifying the party against Hillary Clinton will not be a problem. As of Wednesday night, we’ll be down to just one, and boy, is that one a doozy.
Kasich’s decision comes less than 24 hours after Ted Cruz ended his campaign and Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus called Trump the “presumptive nominee”.

Recording four of his conversations, Sasse penned a 10-part breakdown of how both the Republican and Democratic parties have failed the nation, advocating for a one-term third party option who can work among varying political coalitions. No matter who the GOP chooses, Trump has hinted that a contested convention would cause riots, and I’m inclined to believe him.
