Trump’s Super Tuesday And Political Implications For The Channel
Trump took Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia in the day’s contests, only days after Hewlett Packard Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman condemned his campaign and her former political colleague New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

“Boy, were we wrong”, Union Leader publisher Joseph W. McQuaid wrote in an editorial.
But after he endorsed Trump, Christie saw his approval rating drop, from 33 percent to 27 percent, according to the latest Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Public Mind poll.
Be that as it may, Chris Christie was widely criticized by many sections of the media, and even caused consternation in his inner circles when he announced his endorsement of Trump.
Medina said, “I still think Christie did good things by the Hispanic business community”.
After endorsing Trump for president last week in an embarrassing spectacle of a press conference, Christie went on to defend his decision to George Stephanopoulos on ABC.
Christie, the editorial boards said, has not just abandoned New Jersey to launch a presidential run and peruse a not-at-all-uncommon set of ambitions for governors; he had got the hell out of Jersey with all kinds of unanswered and pending questions back home.
During his presidential campaign, Christie decried the Black Lives Matter movement as “calling for the murder of police officers”.
The Press and the other papers this week said Christie should “do his long-neglected constituents a favor and resign as governor”. It is a very clear move of an opportunist hoping that if Trump wins the White House, he will bring him along -maybe even going as far as to make him his Vice President.
And new polling suggests that Christie’s endorsement of Trump is hurting his reputation with residents of New Jersey. Christie was sworn in as governor in 2010 and was reelected in 2013. Christie’s endorsement on Friday fell right in the middle of that period. He said Christie’s office “immediately reached out to me” when he became chairman of the Hispanic chamber. He was out of state Tuesday, campaigning for Trump.
Aside from Tuesday night, Christie appears to be fully embracing his surrogate duties. “If he refuses, citizens should initiate a recall effort”.

“I’ve known him personally for 14 years and I believe he is the best person to beat Hillary Clinton”, the governor said, before clarifying that he, Christie, was the best candidate but that Trump is the best of the remaining contenders.
