Trump Says Brussels Attacks Show Lack of Assimilation in Europe

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has again called for the renewed use of waterboarding as an interrogation tactic in the wake of Tuesday’s Brussels attacks.

Trumps voice is heard saying: “Brussels was one of the great cities, it was one of the most handsome cities of the world 20 years ago, it was fantastic actually, and safe”.

Cruz said “radical Islam is at war with us” and suggested American Muslims should face more surveillance, an idea Trump quickly backed. Instead, he opted to kick Brussels when it was already down, telling Lauer and Guthrie that, even before the attacks, the city was a “total mess”, and “a horror show”.

Cruz immediately seized on Trump’s comments Monday that the US needs to reconsider the level of its involvement with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

“As president… I would be very, very tough on the borders, and I would be not allowing certain people to come into this country without absolute flawless documentation”, said Trump, campaigning to become the Republican nominee for the November 8 election that will decide on Obama’s successor. Offering condolences to the victims’ families in Brussels, San Bernardino, Istanbul, Baghdad, and the many other places in the world that have been targeted is, perhaps, not enough. We don’t know where they’re coming from. “We just don’t learn”. Brussels was an absolutely crime-free city.

The billionaire businessman said waterboarding would be a “fine” way to gather information in an effort to prevent such attacks if it was legalised. “You have to deal with the mosques, whether we like it or not”. They don’t work within laws – they have no laws. “If they can expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding”.

It featured the training of Belgian militants suspected in the Nov 13 shooting and suicide bombing rampage by ISIS that killed 130 people in Paris.

In a statement, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton said: “These terrorists seek to undermine the democratic values that are the foundation of our alliance and our way of life, but they will never succeed”. Bernie Sanders, spoke out against Trump’s position. We have to be smart. We’ve got to stand in solidarity with our European allies.

“I don’t know what it is”.

I thought about the Muslim women who openly don their religious attire and are looked at suspiciously by ignorant people. ISIS is a disgusting, barbaric organization. This time, in their cowardly ways, they chose another soft target, the airport in Brussels, Belgium. The propaganda video – which was posted on and quickly removed from YouTube – overlays flames over the Trump clip, before going on to celebrate the attacks that killed more than two-dozen people. And, given that he could be President, that’s pretty scary too.
