Trump says comments about President Obama founding ISIS were “sarcasm”

“I do”, Trump said, using one acronym for the group. “I gave her co-founder if you really looked at this speech”, Trump said. He did clarify that while President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did not found ISIS, their policies helped the terrorist group grow stronger. He added (in all caps): “THEY DON’T GET SARCASM?”

Now, Trump is arguing that in trying to end the war and withdrawing U.S. troops in 2011, Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time, and Obama created DAESH.

“So, I said, ‘the founder of ISIS”, Trump continued.

Yet even as he worked to quell one campaign controversy, Trump appeared to spark another late Wednesday when said he was “fine” with trying Americans suspected of terrorism in military tribunals at the Guantanamo Bay detention center. “But he was the founder, absolutely the founder”, said Trump. Later Trump repeated the wall line, asking the crowd, “And who’s going to build it?” The filing shows that the Clintons earned $10.6 million and paid a federal tax rate of 34.2 percent past year.

Almost one-fifth of registered Republicans want Donald Trump to drop out of the race for the White House, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday, reflecting the turmoil his candidacy has sown within his party. Others claim is that the media knowingly and disingenuously suggested that Trump actually believed the words that came out of his mouth, adopting a “hyperliteral” reading of comments that were clearly not meant to be taken seriously. The next day, Trump insisted he was simply exhorting gun-rights supporters to vote in the election, even though he had described a post-election scenario in which Clinton is already president.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is introducing Donald Trump at a campaign rally in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania.

Under the Obama administration, the USA military has actively fought against the terror network in Iraq and Syria. “You meant that he (Obama) created the vacuum, he lost the peace”, Hewitt said. It was Bush’s administration, not Obama’s, that negotiated the 2009 agreement that called for the withdrawal of all USA forces from Iraq by December 31, 2011.

The poll found Clinton widening her lead in Colorado, Virginia and North Carolina, while holding her advantage over Trump in Florida.

The campaign says the Kaines have donated 7.5 percent of their income to charity over the last decade. All major US presidential candidates in modern history have released their returns.

Newly released polls show Clinton leading Trump in the state.

“Your move”, Clinton campaign aide Ian Sams said on Twitter, linking to the Democratic nominee’s returns. “Are people complaining that I said he was the founder of ISIS?”.

Some 19 percent think the NY real estate magnate should drop out, 70 percent think he should stay in and 10 percent say they “don’t know”, according to the August 5-8 poll of 396 registered Republicans.

As he often does, the Republican presidential nominee accused the news media of misconstruing something he said. Trump and Clinton gave dueling economic speeches in MI this week.

“Every word that comes out of a president’s mouth is examined”.

And on Friday morning, he did it again – this time a three-and-a-half twister – saying that everyone had missed the point and, that, of course, he was being “sarcastic,” just like he was being sarcastic about the Russians hacking Hillary and sarcastic about Ted Cruz’s dad helping to kill Kennedy.

Federal tax rates have become an issue in the presidential election. We’ve been paying the price for it for years. “It is true in a sense that before Obama, [ISIL] was an nearly unknown, small little organization, he who called it the [junior varsity], totally wrong, and here’s why it happened, because he withdrew the troops from Iraq”. Just ask Bill Clinton to define “is”. Their main investment was a low-priced index mutual fund, and the Clintons reported dividend and interest income of $109,000.
