Trump says donation to AG not connected to university
She’s a fine person. More telling, she said, “we’ve never had the nominee of one of our major parties urging the Russians to hack”.

Donald Trump’s past political contributions came back to haunt him Tuesday, as it came to light that back in 2013 he illegally donated to Pam Bondi who was running for Florida Attorney General.
Trump said he’s provided the “most extensive financial review of anybody in the history of politics” and because he’s under a “routine audit”, he’s not able to make his tax returns public.
On Monday, a Bondi spokesperson admitted that Bondi personally spoke to her old friend Donald about a donation before she dropped the case against Trump “University”. Trump still says he wants to reopen the school once the legal battles are resolved.
Campaigning in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton demanded details of the conversation in which Bondi solicited Trump’s donation.
Former Trump University enrollees have sued the now defunct real estate training program for using misleading marketing tactics, which he has repeatedly denied.
And those attacks – which come as the foundation faces intense scrutiny over receiving foreign donations- in some way echo complaints that have been made by Haitians on the ground.
I should note that these kinds of articles are exactly what I’ve been advocating for when it comes to stories of Trump’s corruption: When news organizations decide to devote resources to investigating the story, new information comes out and we get a fuller understanding of what’s really going on. I have a lot of respect for her. This includes Bondi, who appeared to be a willing participant in Trump’s shenanigans, but now Bondi’s hitting out at Hillary Clinton.
It’s also possible Trump just happened to see her while watching Fox News September 17?
“All we had to do is stroke a check to the committee to re-elect [the state attorney general]”, the individual said.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assessed Trump a $2,500 penalty for the illegal and improper donation.
The timeline of Bondi’s solicitation has raised suspicion among campaign finance watchdogs, who have characterized the contribution as a political bribe meant to influence Bondi’s decision.
“There was no basis for any investigation into Trump University because at the time of the original media inquiries in 2013, this Office had received only one consumer complaint”, spokesman Whitney Ray said in an emailed statement. More controversially, however, Bondi’s office was at the time mulling whether to join a NY state probe into allegations that customers who paid thousands of dollars to Trump University, Trump’s for-profit education company, for a real estate investment course were ripped off. His foundation gave $25,000 to a group supporting her campaign.
Clinton told reporters that sometimes Trump gets a pass because people have grown to expect less from him.
Trump was asked about the donation during a press conference Monday and said there was no impropriety, only a misidentified donation. That led the clerk to process the payment from the Foundation instead of Trump’s personal account.
PAM BONDI: Of course I asked Donald Trump for a contribution, that’s not what this is about.
Officials at the Trump business said in a recent interview with The Post that it had taken all necessary steps to correct the errors.

Additionally, Bondi’s solicitation of the $25,000 donation is the subject of a Florida ethics complaint filed this June by J. Whitfield Larrabee, a MA lawyer.
