Trump Says Flint Pastor Who Confronted Him Was ‘Nervous Mess’
But on “Fox & Friends” Thursday, Trump accused her of having her interruption planned out in advance. “She had that in mind, there’s no question about it”.

On Thursday, Trump punched back at Green-Timmons in his Fox appearance, suggesting that her nervousness implied something else.
“I noticed she was so nervous when she introduced me”, he said.
Per a story about the interview posted on the local CBS website, Trump Jr. – who has a B.S.in economics from Wharton, like his father – said the media was Clinton’s “number-one surrogate”.
Moments before Timmons interrupted him, Trump had begun attacking Clinton for supporting free trade agreements, which Trump argued had caused Flint economic pain.
As [Trump] continued on to talk about the economy and China, he turned to attacking his opponent, Hillary Clinton. “Everything she touched didn’t work out, nothing”, Trump declared to the small audience inside the church.
The pastor at the church, the Rev.
Inside the facility, Trump walked slowly as he was guided by plant employee JoLisa McDay, 45, who explained to Trump how the water had been contaminated.
His visit to Flint came less than two weeks after he attended a church service at a predominantly African-American church in Detroit, where about 200 protesters gathered outside.
Timmons also stated that the church invited Trump in order to show him the congregation’s dedication to helping the needy, as the city continues to address the lead contamination.
“Some people in those communities aren’t planning on voting for me and that’s ok – I will be the president for all Americans”, Trump said in front of rowdy crowd of about 5,000 people in Canton.
“This is my church and you will respect him”, Timmons said.
Judging by that video, if there was a nervous person in the exchange, it was Trump, not the pastor.
The trip was the Republican presidential nominee’s first visit to the poverty-stricken city since lead was detected in its water supply in April 2014.
An NPR reporter present at the event disputed Mr Trump’s claim, adding that some in attendance heckled the NY businessman. The House version of the Water Resources Development Act now doesn’t contain Flint-specific aid, something MI lawmakers are pushing to change.
“I greatly appreciate the Senate’s action today in approving funding for Flint’s water infrastructure to complement the state’s efforts”.

“The people of Flint have waited for years” for help from Washington, Democratic Senator Gary Peters of MI said in an interview.
