Trump says he can win even without GOP unity
The Governor wants to be the chairman, and from what we have heard, he wants to turn the delegation to Cruz on the second vote.

Arizona Republicans are in Mesa for the state party convention, where they’ll elect 55 of 58 delegates to the national GOP convention.
News cameras caught images of Trump, guarded by security officials, hopping a barrier and walking toward a back entrance of the hotel for his speech to the California Republican convention. The extraordinary images were broadcast live on United States cable television.
“That was not the easiest entrance I’ve ever made”, Trump said once he began speaking at the convention, adding, “it felt like I was crossing the border”. “Solidarity and fighting unity among poor, working, and oppressed peoples is what will be needed to shut down Trump and his campaign of racist hatred”.
“We all want to share the American dream”, Anderson said. “I think it’s going to escalate”, said Luis Serrano, an organizer with California Immigration Youth Justice Alliance.
“I’ve been saying for months I will vote for Trump in the first through the last ballot”, said Buckwalter, an estate and trusts lawyer from suburban Philadelphia. “Would I win – can I win – without it?” But anti-Trump Republicans continue to hold out hope that the controversial billionaire won’t win enough delegates before the convention to secure the nomination.
“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends”, Boehner said while discussing Cruz.
Trump told a crowd of supporters and delegates Friday that he is the only candidate who could beat Hillary Clinton, who is close to clinching the Democratic nomination, in the November general election.
Other protesters chided them, however, and tried to protect Trump supporters and prevent any violence.
But the reality that IN and California are even factors IN the race is evidence of how the GOP battle is going down to the wire.
The mogul had already drawn protests in California, with chaotic scenes on April 28 (Thursday) outside a Trump rally in Costa Mesa. After the event, however, the demonstration grew rowdy late in the evening and spilled into the streets. Some 20 people were arrested.
But a fight is brewing over who the delegates will support if Trump doesn’t get the required 1,237 delegates on the first ballot.
That convention chooses delegates who represent the state in Cleveland, including the ones initially required to back Trump or Rubio. Ducey has not endorsed any candidate.
But “if he doesn’t get to 50 percent, he might have problems garnering the delegates” at the convention, Bush told CNN. Trump said his son, Baron, saw Kasich eating at a campaign event and declared, “Daddy, that’s disgusting!”
He is leading several polls of California Republican voters.
Cruz stands at 572 delegates, with third-place John Kasich at 157, according to the CNN tally.
GOP presidential front runner Donald Trump won Missouri’s March 15 primary, meaning 37 of the state’s 52 delegates will be obligated to vote for him on the first ballot at the national convention.

“The people’s choice was Trump, and I have no problem with it”, said Uehlinger, who lives near Allentown in eastern Pennsylvania.
