That is the question, when it comes to President Donald Trump’s comments about what comes next on health care.

Trump himself isn’t giving up.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Wednesday that President Trump recognized the GOP’s health care replacement plan as a “bad” deal – even though he pushed for it to pass and threatened fellow Republicans who wouldn’t support it. When the bill was first presented, far-right conservatives of the Freedom Caucus were dissatisfied, leading Ryan to tweak parts of the bill to please them. The math is the same.

But one White House official said Priebus’ approach backfired early in the administration, leaving the impression that he was a pushover who didn’t have full control of the staff.

And I think he smartly recognized that what was on the table was not going to be keeping with the vision that he had, and so he decided that this was not the time and that a deal was not at hand.
Trump said that they would now move on to tax reform.
After the defeat, Ryan said that the failure was a “setback, no two ways about it”. “As soon as we figure out and get the votes”. “My prayers and my support are with you”.
Shares of hospital stocks such as HCA Holdings, (HCA) Community Health Systems, (CYH) Tenet Healthcare (THC), and others were declining on Tuesday afternoon as House Republicans said they were considering a new effort to repeal and replace Obamacare following last week’s failed attempt.
Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a Republican from Georgia, said every House Republican who went to open mic during the GOP conference meeting pushed to get health care done.
