Trump says he expects a health care deal soon

That is the question, when it comes to President Donald Trump’s comments about what comes next on health care.

Trump himself isn’t giving up.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Wednesday that President Trump recognized the GOP’s health care replacement plan as a “bad” deal – even though he pushed for it to pass and threatened fellow Republicans who wouldn’t support it. When the bill was first presented, far-right conservatives of the Freedom Caucus were dissatisfied, leading Ryan to tweak parts of the bill to please them. The math is the same.

Rep. Mo Brooks, a Republican from Alabama and a member of the House Freedom Caucus, said the message from Ryan was “this issue is not going away”.

‘I think there’s a little bit of sound that needs to go with that.

Spicer said, “We’re not trying to jam that down anyone’s throat right now. Because we’ve all been promising, Democrat, Republican, we’ve all been promising that to the American people”. “At the same time, after last week, it’s hard to see how the entire conference can find a unified position”. Back to the White House.

The proposed American Health Care Act – to replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) – was withdrawn because Republican House leaders saw it would have been defeated in a vote. In the 1990s, after tempers had cooled following the defeat of the Clinton health plan, Republicans and Democrats got together on health insurance portability in 1996 and children’s health in 1997.

But one White House official said Priebus’ approach backfired early in the administration, leaving the impression that he was a pushover who didn’t have full control of the staff.

“Have we had some discussions and listened to ideas? Yes”. And in a phone interview with The New York Times, Trump said, “Obamacare unfortunately will explode”.

Now that the GOP holds the majority in both houses of Congress and with a Republican in the White House, the problem is graduating from opposition to governance. “The most pro-growth tax reform is permanent tax reform, so we’re operating – I’m operating on that basis”, Brady said.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Democrats will address Obama’s overhaul only when Republicans drop their repeal effort. “We believe it will not work out well, but we’ll see”. In so doing they essentially halted the process itself, thereby shutting off Congress’ and the President’s opportunity to continue working towards a better, more flexible and more affordable health care policy.

Lack of Republican buy-in ultimately doomed the bill. That should make him wary of going down another garden path with a speaker who can’t even marshal his own chamber, let alone produce important legislation with a chance of making it through the Senate. Members of the House Freedom Caucus, meanwhile, who were opposed to the bill, are grappling now with public admonishment from their new President. And I think he smartly recognized that what was on the table was not going to be keeping with the vision that he had, and so he decided that this was not the time and that a deal was not at hand.

Trump said that they would now move on to tax reform.

After the defeat, Ryan said that the failure was a “setback, no two ways about it”. “As soon as we figure out and get the votes”. “My prayers and my support are with you”.

Shares of hospital stocks such as HCA Holdings, (HCA) Community Health Systems, (CYH) Tenet Healthcare (THC), and others were declining on Tuesday afternoon as House Republicans said they were considering a new effort to repeal and replace Obamacare following last week’s failed attempt.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a Republican from Georgia, said every House Republican who went to open mic during the GOP conference meeting pushed to get health care done.

We’ll publish as many responses as possible. “If you don’t have the votes, you don’t have the votes”.

KODJAK: So if they want to really fix the health insurance system and take ownership of the results, they’re going to have to make big changes, and those require changes in law.

‘If you watch the tape it was a lighthearted moment, ‘ he said.

House Speaker Paul Ryan holds a news conference last Friday at the U.S. Capitol. In a big setback to the agenda of President Donald Trump Ryan cancelled a vote for the American Health Care Act the GOP plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act
