U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Monday were in OH, one of the key states in the presidential election, on the day traditionally considered to be the start of the final stretch of the campaign culminating in the November 8 vote.

“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic”, she joked about her GOP rival in the midst of what Real Clear Politics describes as a “massive coughing fit” with VP nominee Tim Kaine sitting behind her on stage.

Trump noted that he’s often best known for immigration, but he’s also focused on jobs and the economy.

Donald Trump says that he had a “thoughtful and substantive” conversation with Mexico’s president on Wednesday as he kicks off a long-awaited speech on immigration.

He insisted that, as president, he would prioritize deportation of criminal immigrants and build a massive wall along the Mexican border. Any immigrants who want full citizenship must return to their countries of origin and get in line, he told reporters – but he would not rule out a pathway to legal status for the millions living in the US illegally, as he did in a long-awaited policy speech last week. But of the millions more living in the country illegally, he would not rule out a pathway to legal status.

“We’re going to stop companies from leaving”, Trump vowed.

Kaine agreed, “He hasn’t changed one bit”. “To return home and apply for re-entry”.

Ms Clinton also headed to OH, considerable a battleground state, and for the first time welcome reporters aboard her plane.

Trump said Monday aboard his plane that he was open to regularly allowing a pool of reporters to travel on his aircraft going forward. Nominees have traditionally shared a plane with the media following the party conventions. The Democratic candidate said she was “more than ready” for the next nine weeks. He later said he was being sarcastic.

“With a hoarse voice, she continued to struggle through her speech, coughing repeatedly and trashing Donald Trump for not being suited to serve as commander in chief”, Breitbart News added.

“Many of the attorney generals turned that case down ’cause I’ll win that case in court”, he said.

Speaking to reporters on his private plane in Ohio Monday, Trump said of his tough talk on immigration, “Some people loved it; A lot of people loved it”.

Trump said that “as of this moment”, he is planning on participating in all of the scheduled debates.

The Republican nominee was rumored to be considering skipping at least one of the debates. “Pressed on what could deter him from debating, Trump replied, hurricanes, natural disaster”.

On the same day that the Democratic nominee debuted a campaign plane that includes space for reporters who travel with her, Trump for the first time invited a small group of media representatives for a question-and-answer session on his private jet as he departed Cleveland on Monday. “I did, obviously, I did well in the debates”.

“I’m ready. I’m more than ready”, she said, as she attempts to become the first female United States commander in chief. It was a near-encounter that even forced the Trump press corps to the side of the road as Clinton’s motorcade whizzed by.
