Trump Says He’s Willing to Keep Parts of Obamacare

The Electoral College is set to meet on December 19 and should an elector vote against the will of the people – known as going “faithless” – then it could have a huge sway on who becomes the next USA leader.

And Obama will probably never forget that Trump led the so-called “birther” movement which questioned Obama’s citizenship, claiming that Obama was not born in the United States and was therefore disqualified for holding the office of president.

The petition says that “Mr. Trump is unfit to serve”.

More than half of voters said the economy was the top issue facing the country, and they split their votes between Clinton and Trump. Only 157 electors have ever not cast their votes for the candidate their state’s voted for, and almost half of those votes were because the candidate they were supposed to support died before the Electoral College met. She won the popular vote, however, 48 percent to Trump’s 47 percent, by more than 200,000 ballots. One petition to that effect has received more than 240,000 signatures since the result of Tuesday’s election became known.

Trump immortalized the “Crooked Hillary” moniker he used to describe his Democratic opponent over more than a year of campaigning. Nearly one-fifth said terrorism was most important, and they favored Trump.

Trump himself tweeted back in 2012 that the electoral college needs to go.

Nationally, and even locally, protesters have taken to the streets angry Trump could win the White House without winning the majority of votes. Sadly, those who are protesting and rioting across the nation lack a fundamental understanding of American politics and why the Founders were leery of deciding a presidential election based exclusively on the popular vote.

Naturally, people believed the somber, concerned look in their face was caused by the sight of Trump in the White House, something they weren’t looking forward to, it’s fair to say.

We can do this without the uphill battle of implementing a constitutional amendment.

Since the Electoral College was founded there have been 157 faithless electors.

Just had a very open and successful presidential election.

But perhaps the best, most therapeutic jokes from yesterday’s awkward affair came from Joe Biden’s imagined reaction to the Trumps’ maiden voyage to the White House.

Some have already indicated that they will ignore the vote in their states and opt for another candidate.

To be sure, the number of electors – generally selected by party officials and assigned to each state – crucially depends upon its population.
