Trump says he was surprised by Cruz’s endorsement
On Wednesday of this week Trump expressed support for Cruz’s efforts to maintain control of the Internet within the United States, and Cruz showed his appreciation. “And if they’re thinking they’re going to run again someday, I think that we’re going to evaluate the process – of the nomination process and I don’t think it’s going to be that easy for them”.

He will hurt his political future if he does not endorse Trump. He noted that Trump earlier Friday released an expanded list of potential Supreme Court nominees that included his buddy Sen.
“Right after right after right that is hanging by a thread”, he said. “We have Hillary or Donald”. We know, without a doubt, that every Clinton appointee would be a left-wing ideologue.
Heidi was not the only Cruz family member to be called out by Trump.
Ted Cruz announced Friday he will vote for Donald Trump, a dramatic about-face that may help unite a deeply divided Republican Party months after the fiery Texas conservative called Trump a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral”.
The Texas senator said he’s spoken to Trump on the phone since his shocking decision to back him – and his GOP primary opponent didn’t bother apologizing for his sharp-tongued comments about Cruz’s wife and father. Asked if he doubts Trump will keep his word about that or other promises, Cruz responded: “I don’t think it is productive for me to criticize the Republican nominee today”.
“Second, even though I have had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee, by any measure Hillary Clinton is wholly unacceptable – that’s why I have always been * a class=”_58cn” href=”https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/neverhillary?source=feed_text&story_id=10154476728267464″ data-ft=”{“tn”:”*N”,”type”:104}” *#NeverHillary”.
The battle between the two candidates reached the top at the Republican National Convention when Cruz didn’t support Trump and told delegates to “vote your conscience” which was a slogan used by those who don’t support Trump.
On Friday, he met with standing ovations.
At the same time, the large staff that worked on Cruz’s presidential bid pushed him not to endorse. In his post, he said he struggled with his decision to support Trump.
“In Cleveland, I urged voters, ‘please, don’t stay home in November”. “I mean what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald, shortly before the death?”
Trump is not an ideal candidate, he said, but he’s better than the alternative.
Cruz ended his presidential campaign in May.

In January, Trump tweeted a fallback plan for Cruz in case his presidential dreams fell short, suggesting Cruz could be the Canadian prime minister, a jab at questions over Cruz’s eligibility to be president due to his Canadian birthplace.

Cruz has positioned himself as an incorruptible truth teller, and for some of his fans, this went too far. “Stand for our principles”.
