Trump says he would push universities to reduce tuition
The flip-flop was a stunner since the Texan was booed lustily during a floor speech at his party’s convention for urging Republicans to “vote your conscious” without naming Trump.

Hillary Clinton is breaking with President Barack Obama and backing legislation that would allow families of September 11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for any role in the attack.
The reason: A strong showing from onetime long shot Donald Trump in Round 1 of the three-debate showdown with Hillary Clinton could inject fresh uncertainty into what’s shaping up as an increasingly tight race for the White House. This is, to many people, a truth best left un-uttered by would-be national leaders. “Now, the race has tightened considerably nationally and that reality is reflected by these numbers that show the two candidates much closer”, Brown said. This, according to people who have recently talked with the former secretary of state, is not lost on Clinton.
Donald Trump is watching videos of Hillary Clinton’s past debate performances – including both her highlights and lowlights – ahead of their first debate Monday.
While next week’s first presidential debate could change voter attitudes and make Wisconsin, with 10 electoral votes, a battleground in the remaining 6 weeks of the campaign, for now it’s a quiet symbol of bipartisan dissatisfaction with the choices presented by the Republican and Democratic parties.
Given his role as an outsider who wrested control of the nomination from some of the leading figures in the Republican establishment, Trump has an entirely different set of challenges, Schiller said.
“You’re just not sure who is going to show up”, said Jennifer Palmieri, a senior adviser to Clinton. She said his answers to questions will be “concise and confident” in contrast to Clinton’s “lengthy” and “lawyerly” responses. In his resignation letter, he attributed the decline in crime in NY, the nation’s most populous city with 8.5 million people, to additional officers and an emphasis on building bonds within neighborhoods. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, and for registered voters is plus or minus 2.5 points.
Donald Trump Jr. says he was being straightforward and not dabbling in “microaggression” when he compared Syrian refugees to a bowl of poisoned Skittles candy in a tweet earlier this week. Asked how his debate prep was going while getting a cheesesteak in Philadelphia on Thursday, Trump smirked and said: “Well, I’m here at Geno’s”.
Clinton has slimmer edges on filling Supreme Court vacancies, 39 per cent to 34 per cent, and handling worldwide trade, 40 per cent to 34 per cent.
The Republican presidential nominee was speaking Thursday at the Shale Insight conference in Pittsburgh. But I certainly don’t think you want Candy Crowley again. Now, she needs to use the debate to show she’s also authentic and relatable.
Will Clinton highlight her plans on making public college education free for most students, or spend her efforts trying to attract right-leaning voters frustrated at Trump’s sharp rhetoric? “Jim Crow wasn’t very good for black people”. “They say she’s been practicing for the debate”.
Clinton’s new ad is the latest that goes after Trump’s character and mimics an ad Priorities USA, her top-dollar super PAC, released in May that similarly questioned a comment Trump made about respecting women.
Gingrich spokesman Joe Desantis emailed that in the aftermath of the attacks Clinton launched into a “tirade” at a press event in which she connected Trump to terrorist recruiting and by inference to the attacks.
“We don’t even have yard signs around here”, Al Silverstein, a lawyer and Clinton supporter, noted as he shared hamburgers and bottled water with his son, Noah, in Waukesha, just a few blocks from where Walker used to live.

I would rather have (Clinton) and Trump fight it out and vice-versa if Trump says something that Clinton believes not to be the case. Both Bernie Sanders in the recent primary campaign, and Barack Obama in the 2008 and 2012 general elections, received far more love from young voters.
