Trump says his campaign is “doing really well”

Donald Trump appears to be borrowing heavily from Bernie Sanders’ small donation strategy, hauling in a whopping $82 million last month in a sign his campaign is finally building a grass-roots fundraising network. More than seven in 10 black Clinton supporters (72%) say they count no Trump supporters among their close friends.

GOP candidates who have been falling in line behind Trump must look at this poll and make some really hard decisions. Has it finally caught up? Trump has described Khan’s speech as a vicious attack. Does it matter if Clinton wins by 1 percent in November, or should the country show Trump that his vision for America does not represent its values and vote all 50 states to his opposition? There’s no way to explain that this is what you want done in the middle of your campaign. Ryan has endorsed Trump, but has also been critical of some of his policy proposals and comments. “To vote Republican out of party loyalty alone would be to endorse a candidacy that I believe has exploited anger, grievance, xenophobia and racial division. Of course, he’s going to work with Paul Ryan”.

Partymen by the dozen in both red states and blue are scooting from being seen on-stage with the most disliked nominee ever in GOP history. “Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich has also campaigned with Trump in OH”.

Yet, Trump’s lead over Clinton with high-school-educated whites continues to rise. His dishonesty rating – 62 percent – topped Clinton’s. “Donald Trump’s demagoguery has undermined the fabric of our national character”.

He’s also continuing to invest his own money into his campaign, contributing another $2 million last month. “You would think we should be focusing on Hillary Clinton and all of her deficiencies”.

Reluctant Trump backers such as RNC chairman Reince Priebus and House Speaker Paul Ryan hoped that maybe his official coronation at the Republican convention would inspire a change of temperament.

“I strongly support Paul Ryan, strongly support his re-election”, Pence told Fox News, adding “we need Paul Ryan in leadership in the Congress”.

“I strongly support Paul Ryan, endorse his re-election”.

“Meanwhile, Whitman joins other key Republicans who have announced their backing for Clinton”. There are choices to be made at the state level, including secretary of state.

“Reuters came out with a poll immediately following the convention and Democratic pollster Pat Caddell said from his analysis, Reuters had manipulated the data”. Further, Representative Richard Hanna of NY became the first Republican in Congress to endorse Ms. Clinton.

“The current race is which of these two is the more unacceptable, because right now neither of them is acceptable”, Gingrich said in a Wednesday morning telephone interview.

Trump alluded to complaints by Clinton’s former Democratic rival about the primary process.

Clinton’s pitch is aimed at cutting into Trump’s support among white working class voters drawn to his anti-trade, anti-illegal immigration message. In North Carolina, a three-judge panel of the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the state’s voter ID law in its entirety.
