Trump says his father gave him a ‘small’ $1 million loan

“You’re right”, Trump conceded. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Mike Huckabee, and John Kasich are all tied up at 4%.

Carson started it. That might be Trump’s point of view, in any case.

So what’s causing Iowa voters to trade one outsider for another? “We have to rebuild our country, we have to do things”.

Thirty-two percent said they back Carson compared to 18 percent for Trump.

Since his disparaging comments toward Iowa voters in the wake of Carson taking a minor lead in the Hawkeye state, Trump has faltered enormously. But if not, why raise the issue of Dr. Carson’s Seventh-day Adventist faith at all?

The poll of 575 Republican primary voters was conducted 21 October through 25. Donald Trump is not most people. “They are so anti-government, it’s beyond that even. They’re anti-establishment, anti-the political elite and anti-leaders that don’t look and think like them”.

Monmouth University released a survey Monday showing the retired neurosurgeon leading with 32 percent among caucus-goers.

Carson’s rise to first place in the Loras Poll mirrors the findings of polls last week by Quinnipiac University and CBS News.

Indeed, the new survey shows that the vast majority of Republicans have not firmly made up their minds: Seven in 10 of those who expressed support for a candidate said it was too early to say for sure who they would support. Then, in what could be a campaign-defining moment, Trump shared how he fought through those obstacles.

And Carson is running up the score among women. If he waited a few years and invested the $200 million Forbes said he was worth in 1982, he would be worth more than $8 billion.

He and Carson are considered among the least electable general election candidates by Republican Party professionals, those in the business of helping candidates run campaigns and win elections.

It’s his connection to evangelicals that is putting him ahead of Trump in Iowa, even though he is a very unlikely candidate to appeal to that group.

Trump may be garnering support thanks to his resume and policy positions, but it’s also clear that there’s also something less tangible at work. None of the other five candidates tested, including New Jersey Gov. Christie, topped 1 percent.

The GOP hopeful said that no matter how tough USA gun laws become, people who are criminally insane will find ways to get their hands on firearms.

It’s not that Trump’s favorability has gone down: He was at 61 percent in August and still sits at a virtually identical 59 percent, according to a recent Bloomberg/Des Moines Register poll.
