Trump says presidential debates shouldn’t compete with NFL
With 101 days to go before Americans elect a new president, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hit the campaign trail yesterday hoping to secure a poll bump from their duelling party conventions.

Supporters of the opposing party got anxious – also no change from previous years – but pollsters say not to worry: Hillary Clinton will probably get her own post-convention bounce when polls start to come in next week. “But you know what, I’m starting to agree with you”, Trump said.
“You know what I’ve been saying? Every time I mention her, everyone screams, ‘Lock her up, lock her up, ‘” Trump said.
“I’ll tell you what I’d rather do, honestly, is just beat her on November 8 at the polls”. “Donald Trump doesn’t make a thing in America, except bankruptcies”. I’ve been nice but after that performance last night, I don’t have to be so nice anymore. “I’m taking the gloves off”.
“Sunday night is a awful time to have a debate, because there are so many great shows on”, Stelter said at the time. “Nice Guy” in the contest against his Democratic rival.
The “lock her up” chant has become a staple at Trump rallies since it dominated the floor at last week’s Republican National Convention.
Undecided voters also favor Barack Obama over Trump by a 30-point margin, Jensen says, so Clinton needs only to win over those voters who support the current administration.
All week Trump has sought to tamp down the chants by stressing that his main goal is to simply beat Clinton in the November 8 presidential election.
The U.S. attorney general decided not to pursue charges against Clinton, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation director, in recommending that no charges be filed, nonetheless called the storage of classified information on private email “extremely careless”.
“Let Trump be Trump!” said Kathy Schegel, a 58-year-old from Elbert County, northeast of Colorado Springs.
He pressed on with that line at rallies this week.
