Trump says Schlafly was ‘there for me’
“Hillary Clinton’s low opinion of the people that support this campaign should be denounced in the strongest possible terms”.

“He’s taking hate groups mainstream and helping a radical fringe take over the Republican Party”, Clinton said in Reno, Nevada.
“Tonight’s comments were more than another example of Clinton lying to the country about her emails, jeopardizing our national security, or even calling citizens ‘super-predators, ‘” the Trump campaign’s senior communication adviser, Jason Miller, said in a statement.
“They would dream of having her as president”, Trump said of IS fighters.
Clinton made the comments before introducing Barbra Streisand at an LGBT fundraiser in downtown NY.
In a statement Saturday, Clinton said that, “many of Trump’s supporters are hard-working Americans who just don’t feel like the economy or our political system are working for them”.
“She is the corrupt establishment”, Trump said.
She went to note that the other half of his supporters are good, hard-working Americans who felt that the government has failed them economically. “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot people and I wouldn’t lose voters”, he said in Iowa in January.
“So I won’t stop calling out bigotry and racist rhetoric in this campaign”.
“To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables”.
“The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it”.
“As long as Trump stays out of the way and doesn’t overshadow Hillary’s comment, her “basket of deplorables” comment should dominate the media in the coming days and runs the risk of negatively defining her campaign”, Heye said.
Hillary Clinton has verbally banished half of Donald Trump’s backers to a “basket of deplorables”, and the Republican presidential nominee is quickly pouncing.
Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill noted a previous speech in which she accused Trump of embracing a brand of USA political conservatism associated with white nationalism and nativism known as the “alt right” movement. Merrill argued that “alt-right” leaders are supporting Trump and “their supporters appear to make up half his crowd when you observe the tone of his events”. While she has headlined more than 330 fundraisers as a candidate, her campaign has kept most of these events closed from reporters.

Trump, meanwhile, did not address Clinton’s comment at his only scheduled public appearance on Saturday, a funeral in St. Louis for social conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly. Obama said that small-town voters “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations”. She’s a bad person.
