Several industry officials declined to comment on political matters, but Mr. Wallace said, “A lot of people in the energy industry support him because he’s a businessman and he understands the brake on progress that government can be”.
Trump was asked at Geno’s cheesesteak joint in Philadelphia Thursday how his preparations were going.
Hillary Clinton has called Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts and North Carolina Congresswoman Alma Adams on Thursday to discuss the recent shooting and protests in Charlotte, North Carolina.
King, who is black, continued: “If you’re a dancing and sliding and gliding n— I mean Negro – you are ‘a dancing and sliding and gliding Negro.'” Gasps and laughs could be heard from the audience.
Clinton’s economic proposal on her website claims “she will make the USA the clean energy superpower of the world-with half a billion solar panels installed by the end of her first term and enough clean, renewable energy to power every home in America within 10 years of her taking office”.
There have also been protests in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in recent days after a fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man who a video showed had his hands in clear view at the time.
But a new Associated Press-GfK poll finds Clinton’s stumble didn’t have quite the impact that Trump and his supporters wanted.
According to Politifact, under Giuliani New York’s violent crime rate dropped by 56 percent during his eight years as mayor, while murder dropped almost two-thirds in that time.
That compelled her to grab a paint-splattered sign that read “Love always trumps hate” and join about 50 others on South Toledo’s narrow sidewalks Wednesday to protest a rally for the Republican presidential nominee. The Trump camp, for its part, has highlighted stories involving the Clinton’s own foundation – like a dispatch this week from the Wall Street Journal – and connections between its donors and Ms. Clinton’s work as Secretary of State. That’s far more than the 48 percent who say the same about Clinton.
“Trump’s dirty-fuels-first plan is pretty simple: drill enough off our coasts to threaten beaches from ME to Florida, frack enough to spoil groundwater across the nation, and burn enough coal to cook the planet and make our kids sick”. But, he said, he’s a true Trump fan and drew a distinction between himself and the protesters. We need revenue in order to do anything, and it’s one word: “Jobs”, he said. Clinton just shook her head, smiling.
The two riffed about what Trump should wear to the first debate.
“Hillary made the statement: “I’m gonna put coal miners out of business.’ And that was not a good statement”, he said of Clinton’s vow to emphasize renewable energy jobs over those in fossil fuels”. Galifianakis responded, “Or maybe like a white power tie”.
President Barack Obama appeared on “Between Two Ferns” in 2014 as he was trying to encourage young people to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.
Donald Trump Jr. says he was being straightforward and not dabbling in “microaggression” when he compared Syrian refugees to a bowl of poisoned Skittles candy in a tweet earlier this week.
Trump says it’s up to the candidates themselves to call out their rivals when they are wrong.
It might be a nice change of pace to have Mr. Trump come and speak about something non-controversial.
Despite a focus on national security, Trump has no apparent edge over Clinton on the issue.
Monday night’s faceoff will take place at New York’s Hofstra University.
In a phone interview Thursday on “Fox & Friends”, Trump said “there has to be a unity message somehow that has to get out and it starts with leadership”.
He repeated his support for “stop-and-frisk,”a tactic which allows police to stop and search anyone they deem suspicious”.
“The permitting process in your industry is a disaster – it’s a disaster”, Trump said. In June, a federal judge ruled that the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management does not have the authority to enforce a rule governing fracking on public and tribal lands (see Shale Daily, June 22).
