Trump says United States will be safer, richer if he is president
He said: “Our convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation”.

“Just – Ted, stay home, relax, enjoy yourself”. With that, he summed up both the paradox and the power of his campaign – a billionaire who made common cause with struggling Americans alienated from the system, or at least a portion of them.
Trump said he will overhaul tax laws and energy rules, get rid of regulations and decrease taxes, while offering few specifics.
In an interesting twist, there were moments when Ivanka’s speech sounded more in line with Hillary Clinton’s policies than her father’s. America is better than this.
The announcement of Clinton’s pick could come as early as Friday in Florida, a crucial general election battleground state. And at an event in October 2015, Trump responded to a female challenger in the audience by telling her, “You’re gonna make the same if you do as good a job”.
Trump ended the GOP convention Thursday night by repeating his position on various issues; attacking the political establishment, playing to voters’ fears of crime and immigrants, and making bold promises to fix America’s ills.
Cruz’s speech highlighted the rifts within the Republican Party over Trump as the presidential nominee. LGBT is short for the words lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
As the crowd, fiercely opposed to Mrs Clinton, broke out in its usual chant of “lock her up”, he declared: “Let’s defeat her in November”. Yet he also accused her of “terrible, bad crimes”. Outside Quicken Loans Arena, street vendors hawked T-shirts referring to Clinton with such slogans as “Trump that bitch!” and “Hillary sucks, but not as much as Monica”.

While Trump’s speech was immediately condemned by Democrats – and even some Republicans – his supporters who attended the convention had a very different opinion. “We must abandon the failed policy of nation building and regime change that Hillary Clinton pushed in Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Syria”, the prepared remarks read. Clinton is, if anything, disciplined. Both are familiar with the selection process and spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it publicly. “I’m glad the waiting game is almost over”, Kaine said Thursday.
