Trump Says US Media Is Dishonest; Calls ABC Reporter ‘Sleaze’
At least 11 veterans charities were paid by Donald Trump’s foundation within the past week – donations that were made on the same day or after reporters began questioning him about where millions of dollars he says he fund-raised in January had gone.

He labeled recent news items as “dishonest” and “unfair” and even picked one journalist out of the group at the press conference and called him “a sleaze”.
“The press should be ashamed of themselves”, he said, claiming it was no one’s business where his donations to veterans went.
“Because I wanted to make this out of the goodness of my heart”, Trump said. “I’ve never received such bad publicity for doing a good job”.
“I raised close to $6 million…as of this moment, it’s $5.6 million”, said Trump at the press conference.
Mr. Trump stated, “Our Veterans have been treated like third-class citizens and it is my great honor to support them with this $1 million dollar contribution – they are truly incredible people”. Last Friday, a judge who has earned Trump’s scorn sided with attorneys for The Washington Post who argued that the public had a right to know what was previously confidential. His campaign said Jones will vote for Trump – but will not actively campaign for the billionaire businessman.
And as Trump told reporters Tuesday, his combative style isn’t about to change.
“Yeah, it is going to be like this”, he said of potential future news conferences led by a President Trump. “Just do your jobs and be fair”, he said. “We’re in front of a very hostile judge”.
Among the harshest critics of Trump University were some of the people who used to work there.
Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney might not have much in common, but their dislike of Donald Trump bonds them. She told CNN that Trump’s tendency to attack his critics “is a recipe for gridlock in Washington”.
But he pushed back hard against the New York Times after its story on his treatment of women, especially when the ex-girlfriend cited at the top of the story said her interview had been misrepresented.
Democratic challenger Sanders echoed Clinton’s concerns about Trump after her speech, though he also criticised Clinton’s foreign policy.
In assailing each other’s suitability for the White House, Clinton and Trump are reflecting a negative voter mood ahead of next month’s party conventions that will choose the presidential nominees.
He said a leader of that effort, Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard magazine, “looks like such a fool”.
“What you’re going to do is lose the election for the Republicans and therefore you lose the Supreme Court”, he said.

Trump told reporters at a testy news conference in NY that the fundraiser, held at the same time as a Fox News GOP debate he was boycotting, raised $5.6 million. The campaign also said it had taken months to carefully vet each of the groups receiving money.
