Trump scraps planned trip to Israel

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote that he’s made similar comments before. “They say, ‘Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic, ‘” Trump told CNN, days after he called for for “a complete shutdown of Muslims” entering the U.S., drawing worldwide rebuke.

“True Muslims know that the ruthless violence of so called Islamic jihadists goes against the very tenets of our religion”.

Netanyahu said he would be meeting Trump on December 28, just as he agrees to meet any presidential candidate who visits the country, and that the meeting did not amount to an endorsement. “It’s ridiculous.” Some Republican voters do not see Trump’s idea as an absolute policy, but one that would provide much-needed extra screening to keep out radicalized Muslims, such as those who might be lurking among the Syrian refugees who are to be resettled in the United States.

In response to Donald Trump’s “Muslim ban” statement on Wednesday, the Guardian reports the 73-year-old boxing champ issued a statement.

Trump has the GOP in turmoil over his call for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the USA following last week’s mass shooting by an Islamic militant couple that killed 14 people in San Bernardino, California.

Asked about comments he made at a rally last week in which he said that he would be meeting with Netanyahu, Trump insisted, “I didn’t say that, no”.

The statement said Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump was scheduled two weeks ago, and that the PM, previous to that, had established a policy of meeting with every candidate who comes to Israel. He did not, however, mention Mr Trump by name.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Trump’s proposal ban should disqualify him from the presidency, deriding him as a “carnival barker” with “fake hair” whose campaign belonged in the “dustbin of history”.

“How can we possibly screen immigrants from a nation where the vast majority support terrorist groups?”, Williams says. “Yet to receive him without condemning his recent prejudicial remarks about Muslims would have been unconscionable for the Jewish state and its 20 percent Muslim minority”, said Oren, who now serves in Netanyahu’s government as a lawmaker for the Kulanu party. “You want to control your own politician”.

Mr Trump responded on his Twitter page on Monday, writing: “What sport is he talking about, and who?” “If you’re a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights”.
