For Trump, the choice to reveal his medical results on a TV talk show is an unusual one for a presidential candidate, but one that is certainly in line with the former reality TV star’s unconventional campaign. This year – no surprise – the matter has become nasty.

The letter comes as his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton returns to the campaign trail after time off with pneumonia, appearing briefly to reporters. Clinton released information from her doctor more than a year ago and provided updated information Wednesday following her pneumonia diagnosis.

Trump’s appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” came shortly after his wife, Melania, released a letter from her immigration attorney denouncing suspicions that she worked in the country illegally in 1995.

Mishori said the letter was not written in the customary method for such assessments and is missing such routine information as immunization history, a description of the examination and lifestyle details including diet and exercise.

Dr. Oz told 70-year-old Trump, “You’re 6’3”, 236 lbs.as I mentioned. What do you see?

“I feel as good today as I did when I was 30″, he said, going on to compare himself to his friend, National Football League player Tom Brady. He weighs 267 pounds (though other reports have said the number was 230 pounds) and Dr. Oz said Trump was “slightly overweight”. The candidate did say he’d like to lose some weight. “It would be good”, Trump said.

In his last note about Trump’s health in December, 2015, Bornstein declared “unequivocally” that Trump would be the “healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

Oz began by asking Trump what he does for exercise, to which Trump implied that merely speaking to a crowd in a hot room is a “pretty healthy act”, likening it to a sauna.

Oz also said the pair would not discuss Clinton, though during the broadcast Trump managed one side aside: “I want her to get well, so that’s fine”, Trump said.

Bornstein’s letter was incomplete, said Dr. Ranit Mishori, a family medicine physician at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Although the letter provides some insight, it does not include his detailed medical history.
