Trump claimed Democratic candidate Clinton would appoint left-leaning Supreme Court justices to “abolish the Second Amendment” which gives Americans “the right to bear arms”.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is suggested that Donald Trump should be denied national security briefings after he attempted to incite violence against Hillary Clinton.

So, Trump’s statement perpetuates a myth sometimes put forward by gun rights advocates concerning the efforts of politicians, like Clinton and Obama, to curtail gun violence.

Trump’s campaign seemed quick to clarify that Trump was speaking about the Second Amendment supporters’ voter influence.

Before the remark, Trump had been emphasizing his case against Clinton, who is leading in national opinion polls in the race for the November 8 election.

Many others blasted Trump’s comments on social media. “Instead, it will simply be added to the ever-growing list of Trump’s disqualifiers – and to the ever-growing burden of Republican leaders who continue to insist that their candidate is suitable to serve”, The Washington Post said in an editorial.

Mr Trump’s running mate, IN governor Mike Pence, said his boss was talking about the election choice for pro-gun voters, not encouraging violence.

Sen. Chris Murphy speaks last month on legislation to expand background checks for gun purchasers.

“I think he’s referring to the fact that the National Rifle Association is the most powerful lobby, hands-down, in the United States”.

Robby Mook, a spokesman for Clinton’s campaign, denounced Trump’s remarks as “dangerous”.

” if she gets elected, she will cause the destruction of this country from within”.

The second read: “But there IS something we will do on #ElectionDay: Show up and vote for the #2A!”

Giffords responded to Trump’s careless comments in a joint statement with her husband, Mark Kelly.
