Trump added that when he plays golf with professional National Football League quarterback Tom Brady, “I feel the same age as him”.

With the recent health concerns for Hillary Clinton, it is a good idea to release Donald Trump’s “serious” medical records to the public. Bornstein wrote in that letter, “Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the president”.

Details of a letter from his doctor declaring the Republican to be in excellent health were released earlier in the day.

A letter from Trump’s doctor released by the campaign pronounced the candidate “in excellent physical health” and provided details of his latest checkup. Trump was hospitalized “only once, as a child of 11 years for an appendectomy”.

The renewed scrutiny over each candidate’s medical history and physical health comes after Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service on Sunday. She had previously been diagnosed with pneumonia but her campaign decided not to disclose the information initially.

These letters are the same ones that Trump shared during a taping of The Dr. Oz Show which will air Thursday afternoon.

“People are amazed”, Trump said, “because I don’t get much with the colds”. He has a cholesterol level of 169, with his level of high-density lipoproteins at 63, his low-density lipoproteins at 94.

Clinton and Trump have both released additional information about their health this week. He takes a lipid powering agent (rosuvastatin) and a low dose aspirin. The note revealed that Trump is 6-foot-3 and 236 pounds, meaning he has a BMI of 29.5, and thus overweight – something that Trump revealed he has been aiming to address.

Dr. Harold Bornstein, who is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, is an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and has been Trump’s doctor since 1980.

“Yeah, I think I could lose a little weight”, Trump admitted. He said his cholesterol is “quite good” and that he had “every single test” and they are good.

He said he was keeping fit on the campaign trail through his energetic speaking style and offered his prowess as a golfer as evidence of his fitness. “I don’t know. I don’t think so”.
