The Republican nominee scheduled two rallies in the battleground state Tuesday – first a midday event on the High Point University campus.
“If we don’t get the deal we want, we’ll walk away and we’ll start all over again”, Trump said.
He compared Islamic terrorists to other enemies the country has faced.
North Carolina is one of the key states in the 2016 election, and Donald Trump has spent a significant amount of time in it. “We do not know who they are”. “Now we must defeat radical Islamic terrorism”, he said.
“Clinton talks tougher about my supporters than she does about Islamic terror”, Trump said. The state is now a tossup, with Trump and Clinton tied in Real Clear Politics’ polling average.
“From my perspective, it matters what we do more than what we say”, Clinton said back in June.
Clinton, appearing on Steve Harvey’s radio show, said she will use the debate “to communicate as clearly and fearlessly as I can” in the face of “the insults and the attacks and the bullying and bigotry” coming from Trump.
Trump has been coming to North Carolina almost every week for public events.
An Elon University Poll of North Carolina voters released Tuesday shows a virtual tie, with a Trump lead of 44% to 43%, which is well within the margin of error. Kenansville is a little elss than three hours from High Point.

“A candidate visit like this is very impactful and results in the commitment of a lot of personnel and resources from local agencies”, he said.
