Ms. Fiorina too was a presidential aspirant, but dropped out in February after failing to get a foothold in the race. A Stanford University graduate, she started her career as a secretary, earned an MBA and worked her way up at AT&T to become a senior executive at the telecom leader.

But still, Fiorina never gained serious support, and since she’s from California, she’s not likely to bring the would-be ticket any electoral votes. She was sacked six years later, after leading a major merger with Compaq and laying off 30,000 workers.
“He is vetting a number of solid candidates, and certainly Ms. Fiorina is absolutely one of them”, Chad Sweet, Cruz’s campaign chairperson, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead”.
Democrats quickly attacked the Cruz-Fiorina alliance.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spent by the Cruz campaign and outside groups to take down the Republican front-runner, and Mr Cruz has essentially been criss-crossing IN for more than week.
