“It’s one of the few cards he’s got left to play to really change the conversation people are having”, said Chris Galdieri, a political science professor at St. Anselm College. “They feed off of people who will cower in the corner when they yell and scream and insult and holler and curse, and they don’t know what to do when a strong, powerful woman stands up and says, ‘I’m not afraid'”. Brandt Hershman received a surprising phone call from vice presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina on Wednesday.

The former Indiana Hoosiers coach, who was known for his brash and sometimes controversial manner, appeared with Trump at a rally in Indianapolis, hailing Trump as “the most prepared man in history to step in as president of the United States”.

“But not that Barbara Boxer would understand that, since all she has ever done is be a professional politician”, she said in an interview with Fox News. He would make it a crime for women to exercise her reproductive freedom, even in the cases of rape and incest. “But in addition to being a woman of extraordinary experience, she’s also a woman of deep principle”, he said.

He also stated that he would support whoever wins the Republican nomination, and that he was confident the party would unite around whoever ends up winning the nomination. Ms. Fiorina too was a presidential aspirant, but dropped out in February after failing to get a foothold in the race. A Stanford University graduate, she started her career as a secretary, earned an MBA and worked her way up at AT&T to become a senior executive at the telecom leader.

“She did a bad job at Hewlett-Packard”.

But still, Fiorina never gained serious support, and since she’s from California, she’s not likely to bring the would-be ticket any electoral votes. She was sacked six years later, after leading a major merger with Compaq and laying off 30,000 workers.

“He is vetting a number of solid candidates, and certainly Ms. Fiorina is absolutely one of them”, Chad Sweet, Cruz’s campaign chairperson, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead”.

Democrats quickly attacked the Cruz-Fiorina alliance.
