Trump slams Kaepernick for sit-down protest
Before the August 26 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, Kaepernick sat on the bench during the national anthem, saying he refused to stand for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.

MI coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t mince words when asked Monday about the recent protest made by his former quarterback Colin Kaepernick. “There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder”.
Basically, the letter is asking that the National Football League publicly denounce Kaepernick’s comments and separate itself from his protest. “We’re still in that country”, Sherman said.
“She’s called black teens or black kids super predators”, Kaepernick said.
“We’ve got an issue in this country in this day and age, and I feel like somebody needs to step up and we all need to step up”, Philadelphia Eagles rookie linebacker Myke Tavarres told ESPN on Monday. “I’m a big Blaine Gabbert fan now”, he said.
“It brings awareness”, Kaepernick said Sunday.
Kaepernick did clarify that his protest was not meant to be disrespectful to the military.
Earnest told reporters Monday that he has not spoken to President Obama and doesn’t know his views on the firestorm surrounding Kaepernick’s decision to protest the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner before preseason football games.
“The cause he was going for, fine by me, but don’t do it in that fashion”, Isner added. “It’s his method of action that I take exception to”, he tweeted.
“There is some depth and some truth into what he was doing”, Sherman said. But he also understands the trials and tribulations that he goes through as an African-American male in this country.

Harbaugh later took to Twitter to clarify his comment, distancing himself from the appearance of criticizing Kaepernick’s right to free speech. And what I would like to see, if you really see oppression when you look at the flag, then make it your mission to be proud of it.
