Trump slams Pelosi, Schumer as Russian Federation meeting pics emerge

President Donald Trump mocked the Democrats pushing the ongoing probe of his campaign’s ties to Russian Federation by posting a photo of Vladimir Putin having a doughnut and a coffee with New York Senator Chuck Schumer.

The White House is preparing to appoint a respected academic and critic of Vladimir Putin as its chief Russia expert, in a sign that Donald Trump’s “bromance” with the Russian leader is cooling amid a growing scandal about ties between their administrations. “I mean, Chuck Schumer sitting and having drinks with Putin and that’s not a news story, but apparently a volunteer for a campaign bumping into one at a conference where there’s again dozens of other ambassadors is newsworthy”.

On Sept. 26, 2003, Vagit Alekperov, the president of the giant Russian oil company Lukoil, escorted Putin and Schumer through New York’s first Lukoil gas station ahead of Putin’s scheduled meeting with then-President George W. Bush at Camp David in Maryland.

The attack from the president came hours after Schumer demanded “We must evaluate the scope of Russia’s interference in our election”. “A total hypocrite!” Trump wrote in a tweet posted to both his personal and presidential accounts Friday afternoon.

Fiona Hill, a dual US-UK citizen and the co-author of a seminal psychoanalysis of the Russian leader called Mr. Putin: Operative in the Kremlin, is to serve as Trump’s Russia adviser on the National Security Council, reports Foreign Policy.

Trump must have figured out his password again, or whatever, because he tweeted the old newspaper photo of Putin and Schumer enjoying coffee and donuts together.

Donald Trump delivers his first address to a joint session of Congress from the floor of the House of Representatives in Washington, DC, USA, 28 February 2017. Sessions’s has since maintained that he spoke with the diplomat as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, not Trump’s campaign.

President Trump turned the tables on Democrats yesterday, mocking them for holding their own meetings with Russian officials even as they called for the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and a special prosecutor to probe the campaign’s dealings with the country.

He has hit back at congressional Democrats over their meetings with high-profile Russians following Democratic Party criticism of Attorney General Jeff Sessions over his failure to acknowledge his own meetings.

According to Justice Department officials, Jeff Sessions spoke to Russia’s ambassador to the United States twice a year ago – while he was still a US Senator.

“We have heard different statements from President Trump”, Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, told reporters. Russian Federation has fast become the ghost he cannot exorcise.

Since U.S. intelligence agencies concluded last October that Russian Federation had interfered in the U.S. presidential election, a flurry of news reports and leaks has raised more questions than answers about the growing national controversy.

The gaffe came just a day after Democratic U.S. Sen.

Several members of the Trump team have ties to Russian Federation that have drawn criticism from Democrats and some Republicans over their coziness with a foreign power considered a global threat.
