Yet the Trump campaign and its supporters have been referring to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted” for months, claiming he is literally stealing delegates from Trump.
The way delegates are awarded can vary from state-to-state and even county-by-county.
Appearing on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” Thursday, Republican presidential contender Sen. “We are telling people “only vote for people who are saying they’ll vote for Ted Cruz”.
The Cruz campaign believes it can energize a Republican base, hiring additional paid staffers and rolling out endorsements from local and state officials, the Post reports.
