If the national convention isn’t settled on the first ballot, it looks likely that numerous 50 delegates from the Palmetto State would desert Trump, who came in first in the primary, but with only 33 percent of the vote.

“You’ve heard stories about Cruz visiting lots of different areas where any amount of Republican vote is at stake, in large part because each congressional district gets three delegates”.

“Any reporting of our intention to support one candidate over another before that time is simply not accurate”, the letter reads, according to The Hill. And veterans of state conventions predict that the Cruz and Trump battle for delegates will still be in full swing at the state party convention on May 20-21 in Duluth.

“People understood what I meant, New Yorkers understood what I meant”, Cruz said during the Town Hall. “When I said NY values, I was trying to say I value NY”.

Trump condemned Colorado’s delegate selection process as undemocratic.

Yet the Trump campaign and its supporters have been referring to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted” for months, claiming he is literally stealing delegates from Trump.

The way delegates are awarded can vary from state-to-state and even county-by-county.

Appearing on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” Thursday, Republican presidential contender Sen. “We are telling people “only vote for people who are saying they’ll vote for Ted Cruz”.

The Cruz campaign believes it can energize a Republican base, hiring additional paid staffers and rolling out endorsements from local and state officials, the Post reports.

As with the previous version of this sketch, when Fallon dressed as Trump to speak with Hillary Clinton, the late-night host lobbed questions at his political guest with the hope of providing some pre-interview pointers.

Also, did you know that Kasich was actually born in Pennsylvania?

The real estate mogul must win 1,237 delegates to clinch the nomination before the party’s July 18-21 convention in Cleveland.
