Trump statue is going up for auction
The naked statue of GOP presidential hopeful that appeared on Hollywood Boulevard earlier this month will go on the auction block, with a portion of the proceeds going toward an immigration-advocacy group, a local auction house announced Wednesday.

Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills said today the sculpture – life-sized in all but its most intimate parts – will go under the hammer on October 22, with an estimated value at somewhere between United States dollars 10,000 and USD 20,000.
“This “Naked Trump” was rescued by La Luz de Jesus Gallery Director Matt Kennedy and is the only remaining example not confiscated or destroyed”, the spokesperson added.
The statue is one of a series that appeared unannounced in public spaces in NY and four other USA cities earlier in August.
People photograph a naked statue of Republican US presidential nominee Donald Trump that was left in Union Square Park in New York City, US.
The statue was placed in the 4600 block of Hollywood Boulevard in the Los Feliz area on August 18, drawing a flood of camera-wielding onlookers who snapped selfies with the unflattering effigy.
Four other naked Trumps appeared in New York, San Francisco, Seattle and OH, but all were confiscated or destroyed, with officials pointing to regulations banning “any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small”.
Trump is not the only politician to be represented in the October auction of street and contemporary art.
Ironically, the National Immigration Forum, a group that advocates for immigration rights, will receive a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming auction.

According to CNBC, the statue was “created by members of the anarchist art collective INDECLINE”. The image depicts Clinton wearing a tuxedo and is estimated to bring in up to $15,000.
