The summit is created to appeal to evangelical voters, cultural conservatives and features a number of organizations affiliated with the Religious Right.

“In a Trump Administration, our Christian heritage will be cherished, protected and defended. like you’ve never seen before”, Trump told his audience, riffing on prepared remarks he read from a teleprompter. He has previously supported abortion rights and has spoken favorably of same-sex civil unions, two issues that are of concern to evangelical voters.
Mrs. Clinton said some of those people are “irredeemable” and said the other half of Mr. Trump’s supporters “feel that government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures”.
He said politicians have abandoned people of faith to a large extent. That may have a lot to do with his choice of running mate: Indiana Governor Mike Pence, who is also due to speak at the summit, is a social conservative who previous year signed a controversial “religious freedom” law in his state. “If God ever wanted an apartment in Trump Tower, I would immediately offer my best luxury suite at a very special price”, he writes.
Donald Trump said Pastors should be able to air their political views in church without fear of losing their federal tax exempt status.
It was not all laughs at the event, though.
The candidate who talked openly, repeatedly, about the size of his genitalia during the primaries commiserated with family values-oriented conservatives about the coarseness of the public discourse.
Voters who identified themselves as white, born-again Christians made up 26 percent of the electorate in the 2012 presidential election, according to exit polls published by CNN.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is a Flight 93 election”.
Prior to September 9, in the lead up to VVS, The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today – the top five highest circulated US newspapers – failed to cover that a presidential candidate was preparing to speak at a conference hosted by a hate group, alongside many anti-LGBT extremist leaders.
Bauer carried on the metaphor, saying the country is headed to calamity if evangelicals don’t regain their influence.
“We don’t get a do-over”, Bachmann told TPM in a brief interview at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C.
Trump did not mention abortion, birth control or LGBT equality. “I’m going to make it up to you too, you watch”, he said.
“But this time you really have to, and this is your last chance”.
The reproduction of the story/photograph in any form will be liable for legal action.
“Does anyone believe the next two Supreme Court Justices that are appointed won’t be the next two most reliable liberal justices on the Supreme Court if the next President Clinton gets a shot?” “Believe me. I believe it”. This will determine whether or not we remain a constitutional republic, frankly. With candidates like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, he finally came around to Trump. A vote for Clinton would be a vote for “more division, disaster and challenges”, he said.
“God has used different people throughout the course of history, especially during Biblical times”.
