Trump Strong in Three Early States as Clinton and Sanders Battle
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Thursday ratcheted up his criticism of Hillary Clinton, suggesting she had bent to the political winds on a series of key issues, including the Iraq war, same-sex marriage, trade agreements and proposed oil pipeline.

The long-discussed meeting between Obama and his sometime critic was a moment for the president to display his public neutrality in the heated primary race to replace him – rebutting suggestions that he’s in the tank for Clinton.
In a speech at Liberty University, Sanders said that, although not religious, he has been “motivated by a vision which exists in all of the great religions – in Christianity, in Judaism, in Islam, Buddhism and other religions – and which is so beautifully and clearly stated in Matthew 7:12”.
In New Hampshire, Sanders is beating Clinton 57% to 38% and Trump is dominating the Republican field with 31% support.
Sanders, when asked about his clean bill of health, said in an interview Wednesday that he has “been blessed with good health”.
“And I expect they will continue to do that”, he said.
Rabbi Balls leaned back satisfied with a grin, as if to say, “Come on”.
Clinton’s campaign has accused Sanders of breaking his pledge not to run negative advertising.
Sanders has shot ahead by 17 points since last month, though Clinton still leads with 47 percent of likely Iowa Democratic caucusgoers to Sanders’ 42. In regard to his relationship with Obama, Sanders said, “By and large I have stood by his side. Millions in campaign contributions and speaking fees”, the ad says, describing Goldman Sachs’ recent $5 billion settlement from its role in the financial crisis.
Sanders, who would be 75 by Election Day, would be the oldest person ever elected president.
For now, Clinton’s southern “firewall” appears to be easily holding in SC, where she beats Sanders 64% to 27%, with strong backing from African-American voters.
“Whoever succeeds President Obama is going to do something to the Affordable Care Act, change it, tweak it, improve it, repeal it, and she knows that”, Maxwell said. Then-Sen. Barack Obama upset Clinton in Iowa, jump starting his successful campaign for the nomination.
That leaves Clinton trying to reinforce her support in places like Decorah, a town of about 8,000.
Clinton argues that her financial regulation proposals would do more to crack down on industry abuses and rein in risky behavior within the shadow banking sector.
Obama has said some kind words about Hillary.
