Trump Suggests Kasich As Running Mate, Kasich Responds
John Kasich is using his starkest terms yet to distinguish himself from Donald Trump, as the Republican primary moves to states where Kasich has his best – and, perhaps, final – shot of consolidating the anti-Trump forces.

But to make it to Cleveland, Kasich must build on his delegate total, giving voters and, more importantly, donors the impression that he has a chance to pull off the convention win.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 54% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Kasich is qualified to be president of the United States. He also needs to finish ahead of Cruz in some states, calling into question the Texas senator’s burgeoning status as the alternative to Trump.
Rasmussen Reports is a media company specializing in the collection, publication and distribution of public opinion information.
“A political strategy based on exploiting Americas instead of lifting them up inevitably leads to division, paranoia”, Kasich said.
When John Kasich whines that GOP convention rules that don’t benefit him should be changed to help in July, and that other candidates like Ted Cruz are playing rough with him, one person back in OH is eminently qualified like no other to comment on Mr. Kasich’s sudden attack of playing fair.
He claimed the negative choice, by implication, suggesting the route offered by Donald Trump and Ted Cruz without naming them, “could drive America down into a ditch, not make us great again”.
He spoke to a formal crowd of a couple of hundred people at the Women’s National Republican Club, clutching a wooden lectern as he read his speech from a prepared text and stood before four American flags. “They’re looking for an outsider who will do things differently”. Both candidates hope sizable delegate gains in next week’s NY primary create a sense of inevitability around their candidacies. Kasich told reporters Monday to preview the speech, according to The New York Times. That earned Cruz 36 percent of Wisconsin’s 42 delegates. Kasich’s hope for the nomination is based on the idea that no candidate wraps up enough delegates before the convention – and that he can emerge there. “You can’t win in most states with fear and smear”.
