“While my opponent slanders you as deplorable and irredeemable, I call you hardworking American patriots who love your country and want a better future for all of our people”, said Trump, who tried to portray the former first lady as out of touch with ordinary Americans.
Violence has marred another Donald Trump rally in the United States, with a vicious scuffle caught on camera.
The Trump campaign has not answered requests for comment.
With his daughter Ivanka at his side, Trump also appeared to support equal pay for women, traditionally a core issue for Democrats. She said investigators followed up on Monday night’s incident and arrested Thomas Vellanti Jr. on a disorderly conduct charge.
Shirley Teeter went to a Trump rally in Asheville, North Carolina on Monday, and while leaving, was punched in the face.
Protesters met Trump supporters before the rally, and Teter was having fun.”Whenever groups of them would start chanting ‘Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump!’ I would chant back, ‘Dump, dump, dump, dump.’ It was kind of comical”, Teter said.
The incident came as Trump lambasted Hillary Clinton for calling half of his supporters a “basket of deplorables”.
Trump will propose in a speech on Tuesday night allowing families to deduct the cost of childcare expenses from income taxes, his campaign said, a move aimed at bolstering his support among women voters.

But Trump has sought to mollify the tone of his campaign, saying at more recent rallies that his supporters should be non-violent toward protesters.
