The NRA made the announcement at Friday’s Kentucky NRA-ILA Leadership Forum, where Trump, along with a number of former Republican presidential candidates, are scheduled to speak.

“I’m not a very big fan of Donald Trump, but I also think he won’t mess with the Second Amendment”, Gibson said.
The NRA has fired off tweets, many of which are calling on Hillary Clinton to disarm her bodyguards and urging voters to consider what it would mean to their Second Amendment rights if she elects judges to the Supreme Court. “She wants to take your guns away”, Trump said.
In introducing Trump, Chris Cox, executive director of NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, unexpectedly announced the Association’s unequivocal support of the candidate.
“They are going to be unsigned the first hour that I’m in office”, he said to applause.
“Whether it’s a young single mom in Florida or a grandmother in Ohio, Hillary wants them to be defenseless”.
Although Clinton has called for tightening restrictions on guns, she has not called for overturning the Second Amendment.
In a 2000 book, Mr Trump said he supported an assault weapons ban and favoured extending waiting times for anyone to buy a gun.
“Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment”, Trump said.
“But if you look at Paris, 130 people killed, hundreds of people still in the hospital, just horribly wounded, can never be the same, horribly wounded, and these guys came in ‘boom, boom, you over here, boom, ‘ and they just stood there and just shot everybody”, he said.
Hotel staff and security personnel at several Trump properties told a different story, when reached by phone by ABC.
Trump wrapped up his address with a promise to always be a solid supporter of the the individual right to keep and bear arms.
The National Rifle Association is endorsing Donald Trump for president.
After releasing a list of his picks for the Supreme Court this week, Trump called on Clinton to release her own, warning “it won’t be good for people in this room”.
“I’d like to call for Hillary Clinton to put together a list [of potential Supreme Court nominees] also”, Trump said, referring to his unprecedented step of letting the Heritage Foundation suggest a list for his campaign. Instead, she has said she would narrow the loophole that allows easy purchases of firearms at gun shows or online. I’ll tell you that.
As he jumped points, Trump did turn to pre-written notes, which consisted of lines of attacks against Clinton. According to some mildly annoyed receptionists, the Trump Towers in NY and Chicago are gun-free buildings.

While Trump presented himself as a fierce defender of the Second Amendment on Friday, the NY billionaire has not always been such a staunch advocate of the right to bear arms.
