Trump Threatens to Sue Unless He Gets Cruz Apology

Lawyers – many lawyers – are saying he doesn’t even have the right to run for president.

Either Donald Trump is just trying to take out his competition, or he really does not like Ted Cruz, or both, because Trump has pretty much gone and declared war on Cruz. “One of the ways I can fight back is to bring a lawsuit against him relative to the fact that he was born in Canada and therefore cannot be President”. Trump noted that if Cruz does not take down his “false ads” and “retract his lies”, he will definitely push through with the lawsuit.

While he was at it, Trump renewed his threat to run as an independent. “They are in default of their pledge”. In recent weeks, he has campaigned hard against Trump over his past support for Democratic candidates and causes. Cruz has hammered Trump on key issues, and said on Saturday that if elected he would appoint liberals to the Supreme Court.

“I’ve never met people like politicians”, Trump said as he addressed the East Cooper Republican Club’s luncheon in this suburb of Charleston. But if it would’ve been Trump, it wouldn’t have mattered, because this guy can say that “Megyn Kelly was after me” because she was on her period.

Trump told reporters he might try to file the suit before the GOP primary in SC this weekend. “Which is that when anyone points to their actual records, they get very upset and begin screaming, ‘Liar, liar, liar'”.

His campaign also released a new ad slamming Trump for his multiple flip-flops on various issues over the years. He noted that Bush’s older brother, former president George W. Bush, was making a high-profile return to the political arena later Monday in nearby North Charleston.

Trump spent the bulk of his remarks hitting the Texas senator for being a “liar”, citing his campaign’s attempts to deceive Ben Carson supporters into thinking Carson was ending his campaign ahead of the Iowa caucuses and a controversial mailer that went out in the Hawkeye State suggesting residents could face a penalty for not caucusing.

Trump said he had another reason for wanting to hold a news conference near Charleston: To address concerns that the federal government plans to move prisoners – terrorism suspects – from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to the Charleston area. “His statements are totally untrue and completely outrageous”, Trump said.
