Trump to air first ads in NC
Some of these attitudes are a function of opposition to the Obama administration and/or the candidacy of Trump.

A new Pew Center survey shows Donald Trump down 4 points nationally to Hillary Clinton, which counts as good news for a candidate who’s further behind in most recent surveys.
And he has suffered in the polls because of it.
Trump was on the ground Thursday in North Carolina, where he stopped by a local gun range before meeting with police officers in Iredell County.
Clinton deputy communications director Christina Reynolds told The Hill Trump has been on the attack since his campaign started 14 months ago. When federal law required the then-presidential candidate to reveal details of his personal finances on May 15, the Federal Election Commission granted the campaign a 45-day extension. “We learned tonight that his speechwriter and teleprompter knows he has much for which he should apologize”.
It’s not clear which statements Trump regrets making, i.e. the ones that caused personal pain. In addition to expressing “regret”, he also tried to express sympathy, saying he has “no patience for injustice, no tolerance for government incompetence”. Again, non-partisan fact checkers have found that Trump lies between 70% and 91% of the time, which means that the odds are that his claims of honesty are lies. “Her signature was all over it”, Kingston told CNN.
Fournier worries that Clinton’s dishonesty will drive independent and undecided voters into Trump’s camp – an equally terrifying fate.
Reading from a teleprompter, the businessman vowed as president to address the poverty and unemployment that has disproportionally affected African-American communities and urged black voters to “give Donald Trump a chance”. “I will not rest until children of every color in this country are fully included in the American dream”, Trump proclaimed.
“We must also provide opportunities for all of our people”, he added.
He now trails Clinton in preference polls of most key battleground states.
But if it will last is very much an open question.
According to the Clinton campaign, “Absolutely” will air nationally on cable channels as part of a preexisting ad buy.
You see this if you compare how [Trump’s] doing to how mainstream Republican candidates like Marco Rubio and John Kasich were polling in the general election.
Donald Trump struck a compassionate tone at a rally Thursday night, saying he “regrets” some of his past statements.
Trump’s decision to tap Stephen Bannon, a combative conservative media executive, as his new campaign chief, suggested to some that he planned to double down on the playbook he used in the primary, playing to his angry rally crowds and bouncing from one controversy to the next.
What’s more, how much damage has already been done?
There is no total agreement on just what “fundamentals” are, but most political scientists would include economic and job growth, the incumbent’s approval rating and the unlikelihood of a party winning three consecutive presidential terms.

A consistent distinction in most polls across the country is that support for Clinton and Trump are separated by a gender gap.
