Trump spoke to supporters and undecided voters on Friday at the Summit Sports & Ice Complex in Dimondale, a village in Windsor Charter Township located about 10 miles southwest of Lansing.
“If you keep voting for exactly the same individuals, you are going to keep getting the identical result”, he said. A fifth of Republican men and a quarter of Republican women in the poll said that Trump is biased against women and minorities. You have no jobs, 58% of your youth is unemployed. What have you got to lose? He cited Detroit as a recent example.
Many people are pointing to stats from CNN, as seen below, which claimed Trump only had about one percent of the African-American vote. “I promise you. Because I will produce”.
His speech on Friday signaled a change in how he reaches out to voters.
Trump formerly demonized Mexican illegal immigrants as “rapists” and “thieves”. All they’ve done is taken advantage of your vote…
“We’re speaking out, the people are rising up and trumpeting out”, Bronson said. Jennifer was once a Democrat, and Michaela, 17, worked on Sanders’ primary campaign.
“It’s time to hold Democratic politicians accountable for what they’ve done for these communities”.
Donald Trump tried to rally black votes by emphasizing the plight of the African-American community, in ways only he can.
“I think it’s great that he’s using a teleprompter because the corrupt media likes to pick up any little word he says out of his personality and make something more out of it than it is”, said 62-year-old Sandy Carver of Lima, Ohio. “It’s a disgrace”, he added.
Beginning with a speech outside Milwaukee on Tuesday, Trump has steadily increased his rhetoric geared towards African-American voters, saying that the group should give Republicans a chance. Hillary Clinton is different – she listens to us and understands the work that needs to be done to break down the barriers in employment, housing and our schools. Many young black high school students are unemployed. We will bring back jobs.
“Look at how much African American communities have suffered under Democratic control”, Trump said to his supporters.
“Clinton is a legacy of destruction and terrorism”, Trump said. I told you all that, it wasn’t going to work. For twenty years I and many others on the right have waited for Republican leaders to do just this.
Trump now trails Clinton in nearly all national polls by at least 10 points. NBC News has Trump at one percent.
Trump later said he did not condone the physical confrontation.

In a slamming push back to the appeal to the African-American community, the Clinton campaign points out Trump questioned President Obama’s religious beliefs and whether he was born in the United States.
