Trump To Receive First Intelligence Briefing Wednesday
For the first 52 years, the CIA gave the briefings, but since the 2004 election, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has handled the task. “He’s been a real fan of mine and defender of mine and he’s a terrific guy, a terrific general – tough, smart – feels like I do about illegal immigration, in particular”, Trump told Earhardt.

‘I assure you – with a Trump Administration, we will make the #safety & security of our nation a top priority, ‘ he captioned the image.
The briefing is created to give him a slightly more detailed picture of worldwide threats than the one US analysts regularly present in public; it will not reveal sensitive intelligence operations, senior USA officials tell NBC News. The briefing is expected to be at a secure facility at the FBI in NY, likely at 26 Federal Plaza.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump got his first look Wednesday at classified intelligence on threats to the United States and other security issues.
Trump, the billionaire developer, has proven loose-lipped on the campaign trail.
Among the men seated was Rep. Pete King (R-L.I.), who did not respond to questions from the Daily News about what was discussed at the meeting.
Earlier today, Trump held a round table on national security joined by top surrogates Sen.
It is a custom of U.S. presidential elections that the candidates of the major parities receive classified briefings to prepare them, should they take office. Both Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton are expected to receive up to three briefings before the November 8 election. However, the first-time candidate, despite having foreign policy advisers, has limited intimate knowledge of the inter-workings of USA intelligence agencies.
Because the briefings are rooted in tradition rather than law, the sitting president has final say on who will be briefed and what information they receive.
Trump tells The Associated Press in a phone interview that he’s known both people for a long time.
Trump has repeatedly argued that failed administration policies, particularly in the Middle East, have left the United States weakened and vulnerable to attacks by the Islamic State and other global terrorist networks. “Look what’s happened over the last 10 years”. “And you have the generals, and you have certain people”. “The two least popular candidates in history, both of whom have a potential concern regarding these briefings”.

Mr. Trump is scheduled to get the briefing at the NY field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, these officials said. “I think her email scandal is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen”. We would have been much better off.
