Trump to take ‘optimistic’ message to voters, new manager says
Despite the new advertising investment, Trump is woefully behind: Clinton’s campaign has spent more than $75 million on ads in the weeks since she effectively locked up the nomination in early June, according to Kantar Media’s political ad tracker. Those include Steve Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News, as the campaign’s new chief executive and Kellyanne Conway, who was a senior advisor, is now the new campaign manager.

A string of prominent Republicans have announced they will not be voting for Trump as United States newspapers report of a campaign in crisis and staffers unnerved by a candidate apparently incapable of reeling in crass remarks.
Trump underscored that conviction Wednesday with a staff overhaul at his campaign’s highest levels, the second shake-up in the past two months.
“Donald Trump has shown us who he is, he can hire and fire anybody he wants from his campaign, they can make him read new words from a teleprompter, but he is still the same man who insults Gold Star families, demeans women, mocks people with disabilities and thinks he knows more about ISIS than our generals”, she told a rally in Ohio.
And when asked about Trump’s big slip in the polls, Conway said, “I think it helps us to be a little bit behind, and we are”.
“What’s become clear from this is no matter how much the establishment wants to clean Donald Trump up, get him on a teleprompter and get him on message, he has officially won the fight to let Trump be Trump”, Mook said.
Conway said the campaign would work on refining Trump’s message through a more specific policy focus, but without forfeiting the unconventional style that has contributed to his reputation as a “change agent” in a “change election”.
While Trump’s first staff shuffle in June was driven by concerns among top Republicans, as well as the candidate’s children, this latest upheaval appears to come directly from the businessman.
“At the end of the day, Donald Trump is going to win this election, he’s going to win in states because Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are going to take votes away from Hillary Clinton”.
Trump’s new campaign manager also said a focus on the issues would help her candidate. No one is changing their view of Trump at this late juncture. Other staff is also expected to be brought on in the coming days. Bannon’s European interests suggest he is far more impressed by right-wing third parties than by traditional Republicanism. “They need to get used to it”. It’s a risky approach, however, given that Clinton’s standing among voters has sometimes improved when she is perceived as the victim of attacks. According to the Daily Wire, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton now maintains a 6 point national lead over Trump, whilst also having a considerable advantage in numerous swing states that will decide the election. With Hillary Clinton, of course.

Donald Trump hit the reset button and expanded his campaign with new officials to oversee his efforts to win the White House. “If Trump is able to build on that, then potentially there is a path”.
