Trump to talk immigration

Trump’s campaign earlier had scheduled the speech for last Thursday, but canceled it as he wrestled with the complex policy.

All we know of the details, so far, is what Trump said Wednesday at a town hall hosted by Sean Hannity of Fox News: “Now, everybody agrees we get the bad ones out”.

Trump tweets on Sunday he’ll deliver the speech in Arizona, adding “Big crowds, looking for a larger venue”.

The GOP nominee’s public schedule does not yet have any events listed for Wednesday, Aug. 31.

I also understand that for some voters, Hillary Clinton is basically, as Trump called her, “the devil”.

“Nothing has changed about Donald Trump’s position on dealing with illegal immigration”, he told CNN. “In this task, we will err on the side of protecting the American people – we will use immigration law to prevent crimes, and will not wait until some innocent American has been harmed or killed before taking action”.

“I’ve laid out the best I could, the specific plans and ideas that I want to pursue as your president because I have this old-fashioned idea”, Clinton said during a recent speech in Colorado.

“You see someone who is engaging the American people, listening to the American people”, Pence told CNN on Sunday.

“We’re going to secure the border”. After branding his primary opponents as weak on immigration, Trump has now signaled that he may abandon his proposal to deport millions of undocumented immigrants, or at least significantly “soften” it. Moreover, the safest course for him politically may be to continue to obfuscate on immigration policy to avoid antagonize either side of the debate. Nevertheless, the Trump campaign is optimistic that time remains for a turnaround, a position buttressed by the new ad buy.

“Donald Trump will articulate what we do with the people who are here”.

Asked specifically about birthright citizenship, which Donald Trump staunchly opposes, Priebus said he was “comfortable” with continuing the practice.

The efforts of Mr Trump’s surrogates reflect a problem for him as he lags behind Mrs Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, in many polls. And late Sunday, America’s only African-American owned and operated national Christian television network announced that its president and CEO, Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, would interview the Republican nominee Saturday in Detroit.

Trump’s new campaign director, Kellyanne Conway, said there has been little real change in the central tenets of Trump’s immigration platform. “But the reality remains that Trump’s agenda echoes the extreme right’s will – one that is fueling a unsafe movement of hatred across the country”. “Immigration is a very complex issue”.

“They have to go”, Trump told Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press” last August when pressed on whether he was serious about mass deportations. “We all know you can’t pick them up and ship them across, back across the border”.
