Trump Tower website has outage after Anonymous’ anti-Trump rant

Donald Trump, it has come to our attention that you want to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.

There is evidence the group has been targeting the site since at least Wednesday, when it posted a YouTube video warning against Trump’s plan to halt the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This policy is going to have a huge impact. A message in the video’s description read, “Donald Trump think twice before you speak anything”. You have been warned, Mr. Donald Trump.

Despite the group’s apparent distributed-denial-of-service attack, which aimed to take down a web server by flooding it with fake traffic, the Trump Tower website was up and running by 11 a.m. That has seen supporters seek out social media accounts and websites run by Isis supporters and attempt to take them down or have them removed. Anonymous declared all-out war against ISIS following the Paris terror attacks last month.

Anonymous also called for a disruption of ISIS’ social media today in what the group is dubbing “ISIS Trolling Day”, in which multiple online channels, pages, and hashtags used by ISIS were overtaken by mocking anti-ISIS images and other propaganda.

Some celebrate and applaud the hacking group’s tactics and political stances, but the group and its methods still remain controversial. This turned out to be false.

The Anonymous campaign against Trump, which the group dubbed #OpTrump, has not yet had much success.

Therefore, it appears unlikely threats from Anonymous will alter Trump’s positions.
