A Monmouth University poll released Monday had similar findings, reporting that almost one-third do not have a favorable view of Clinton or Trump.

As per RealClearPolitics, which keeps track of all major polls, Clinton was leading Trump by five percentage points in the average of all these polls.

Responding to Trump’s Mexico plans, Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri said in a statement that “what ultimately matters is what Donald Trump says to voters in Arizona, not Mexico, and whether he remains committed to the splitting up of families and deportation of millions”.

When respondents were asked if the word “honest” described the candidates, 68 percent of candidates said no to Clinton while 64 percent said no to Trump.

Trump’s gastroenterologist revealed in an interview that he has access to Clinton’s medical records. Sixty-eight percent of those asked said that phrase described Trump.

Trump, meanwhile, remained even less popular, the poll showed. “We’ve never seen two candidates who are this unpopular”.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton arrives to speak at the American Legion’s 98th Annual Convention at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016. Johnson picked up 11 percent, and Stein received 7 percent, according to the Marquette poll. “The challenge is figuring out how to get people who don’t like them at all to get out and vote for them”.

In a two-way race without Johnson and Stein, Fox finds Clinton’s lead extends to six points, 48% to 42%. Clinton questioned the move, saying it “takes more than trying to make up for a year of insults and insinuations by dropping in on our neighbors for a few hours”.

“The big take-away for me is this poll and others show the race tightening”, pollster G. Terry Madonna said. “Not only in terms of friendships…but in terms of the tremendous numbers who I employ in the United States…and they are incredible people”, Trump said.

Party unity remains a problem for Trump, as only 74 percent of self-identified Republicans back him, while 81 percent of self-identified Democrats support Clinton.

Clinton, who Trump has repeatedly said helped to create the terror group ISIS with her Middle East policy, highlighted what she called the foreign policy successes of President Barack Obama’s administration. In early August, Walker’s approval number was at 38 percent, and his disapproval rating was 59 percent.
