Trump Tweets Criticize Colorado GOP Convention Results
Republicans are bracing for a brokered national nominating convention in Cleveland in the event that Trump or Cruz fail to reach 1,237 pledged delegates – throwing the spotlight onto secondary contests around the country that select state’s delegates.

But in a release, Trump’s campaign insisted he’s the only Republican candidate with a clear path to receiving enough delegates to clinch the nomination.
“It’s not a system”, Trump said of Colorado’s conventions.
However, the party leadership rejected Mr. Trump’s allegations. Ted Cruz. If you think he’s a little far right for Colorado’s brand of purple centrism, well, too bad, you weren’t as organized as his people.
“At the end of the day, these are the party rules and there is nothing unfair or, you know, wrong about it”, Hughes told Herald Radio.
Republican presidential front-runner Trump has been angrily denouncing what he calls a “rigged system” that is allowing his Republican rivals to siphon off some of the delegates he believes should be rightfully his. Each state has different rules governing the awarding of delegates to the party conventions. And in others, such as Virginia and Arizona, the deadline to apply to be a delegate has passed.
IN won’t be a footnote this year when it holds its presidential primary on May 3. If other candidates’ delegates consider the fairness of the national process or the victor of their state, rather than their personal candidate preference, Trump may be advantaged. “There’s no place for any kind of intimidation or threats in politics, especially in Indiana”, Tony Samuel, Trump’s Indiana campaign vice chair, said.
The Cruz team feels the opposite. “That’s where he’s been shut out of the game”.
But if no candidate has a majority of delegates on the first ballot at the convention, then the delegates are free to cast their votes for anyone they choose. They always say he’s got no chance.
The crux of Trump’s argument seems to be that this is somehow a coup by party bosses to deprive him of the nomination.
Trump has won more states than Sen.
He pointed to Colorado, where he said the delegate-selection system was set up by “crooked politicians” to make sure an outsider like him could never win. Trump carried five congressional districts and Cruz three, according to the certified results.
The application deadline was last month.
Mr Trump told a rally on Sunday that the person who wins the most votes in the primary process should automatically be the nominee. She has to win her home state but Bernie sanders needs to win this state, New York, to change the conversation.
Trump has turned to the man who helped Gerald Ford beat Ronald Reagan in 1976, Paul Manafort.
Mr Trump also accused Mr Cruz of trying to steal delegates in SC, which Trump won.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump already knows two votes he won’t be getting next Tuesday. That the Republican electorate is mad as hell and is not going to take it anymore. “And so the mistakes are not really mistakes – it’s a pattern”. True, the polls suggest that Cruz would struggle to beat Hillary Clinton in a general election.

“We’ve discounted Trump so many times”, he says, “and right now he still remains a frontrunner”. “And we’re going to see Ted Cruz get skunked in Nevada”.
