Trump voters in key state say it’s Clinton who’s deplorable

In a letter, Dr. Lisa Bardack said Clinton was “recovering well with antibiotics and rest”.

The recent surveys come as Clinton grapples with new controversies on two fronts: Her comment at a Friday fundraiser that half of Trump’s backers are in a “basket of deplorables”, and her campaign’s handling of a health scare on Sunday during a 15th anniversary ceremony honoring victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Those are her first public appearance since Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service in NY after becoming dizzy and dehydrated.

Mrs Clinton – who has been recuperating at her suburban NY home – was treated with an antibiotic called Levaquin, which she was prescribed for 10 days.

Trump released a new letter from his doctor Thursday detailing his blood pressure, cholesterol and medications, one day after Clinton made public a letter from her physician with similar information.

Her physical exam “was normal and she is in excellent mental condition”, the statement said. Her campaign later acknowledged she had been diagnosed with pneumonia last week.

Clinton plans to return to the campaign trail on Thursday after several days resting at her suburban NY home. Things took a slight turn for the worse in January, when Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection, requiring a visit to an ear, nose, and throat doctor. Keep reading for her physician’s declaration that she’s ‘healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States’.

Clinton and Trump alike will be hoping to score points with undecided voters through a show of greater transparency on their health.

A young woman from Jackson County, who identified herself as a very liberal Democrat, said she was voting for Clinton “because she’s not Donald Trump”. Clinton has released her tax records.

In a two-way race, Clinton also leads Trump among likely voters by 2 points, 46 to 44 percent. And it begs the question: “what is he trying to hide?” Today, Trump filmed an appearance for tomorrow’s “Dr. Oz Show” to discuss the findings of a recent physical exam but did not reveal much more than his height (6 feet 3 inches) and weight (267 pounds).

However, earlier on Wednesday Donald Trump proved that he’s even healthier than Clinton when he dramatically pulled his own two-page report from this pocket during a taping of The Dr. Oz Show.

Dr Bornstein had previously written a note declaring that 70-year-old Mr Trump would, if elected, be the healthiest president in history. Bornstein said in August that he wrote the letter in five minutes while Trump’s limo waited outside his office.
