According to another The Washington Post article, a letter to Trump was drafted by a bipartisan coalition of veterans and family members of killed military soldiers.

Said Duffy: “There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can fix once crossed”.

“I requested Sharon to introduce me, because I understood that our Gold Star families have made a sacrifice that most of us can’t even begin to imagine”.

‘There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can fix once crossed, ‘ he said.

President Obama placed blame for Trump’s statement on his fellow Republicans, many of whom spoke out against his statements against the slain soldier’s family, but did not withdraw their support for his candidacy.

Less than a week before, Trump was given a standing ovation by the group during a conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.

His son, Humayun, was a Muslim Army captain who died in combat in June 2004.

As of Monday evening presidential nominee Donald Trump has not issued a formal apology to The Khan Family.

The senator also said he supports building a fence along the border with Mexico but stopped short of endorsing Trump’s call for a border wall to be paid for by Mexico.

Scott Mason, one of the Trump campaign’s Hill liaisons, emailed congressional supporters Monday afternoon with a lengthy response to the Khizr Kahn, whose speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia drew national attention. She has every right in the world to say what she believes.

Ghazala Khan said that she stayed silent on stage because she was nervous and emotional, and said she finds it hard to speak about her late son.

“If it were me, the easiest thing to do is say, ‘I apologize, ‘” he said.

She refuted that claim again this morning during an appearance on Morning Joe. “He said he would like to hear from me”, she wrote. “So I think, slip of the tongue and everybody’s making a big deal of it”. Neither did Senator Richard Burr, but he did give this statement to The Wall Street Journal: “The parents and siblings of our fallen service members deserve the utmost respect-period-and the sacrifice made by their loved ones will never be forgotten”. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures.

Trump retaliated on Sunday, declaring on Twitter that Khizr Khan “viciously” attacked him for no reason.

Obama condemned a laundry list of the Republican nominee’s statements about the nation’s armed forces and national security policies. “You tell me, but plenty of people have written that”.
