He called on African American voters to “honor” him with their vote.

But Mr Trump once again accused Mrs Clinton of “bigotry”, claiming she sees African-Americans “only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future”. One super PAC raised just under $10 million for her last month – roughly $6 million more than Trump’s two largest outside groups combined.

He promised to “produce” for African-Americans where Democrats had failed.

Manafort’s role was diminished this week when Trump hired a new campaign chief executive officer and campaign manager to try to help the nominee reverse falling poll numbers that have deeply anxious Republican party leaders. “Look, what do you have to lose?”.

Seeking to reboot his flagging presidential bid, Donald Trump has made a strong pitch to African-American voters, saying he wants the Republican party to become their home once again as it used to be in the Abraham Lincoln-era.

Clinton campaigned in OH and Pennsylvania this past week, and the Democratic nominee’s voter registration efforts and policy pitches went largely unnoticed as Trump shook up his campaign staff.

“Donald Trump asks what the African-American community has to lose by voting for him”.

“I’m African American and I just say stop going for history”, she said.

Mr Boxt said: “It would be inconceivable to me that someone like Hillary Clinton, who obviously is a global actor, who has strong relationships with leaders around the world.(wouldn’t) seek to assure all of her friends and allies around the world that we are not a nation of insane people”.

Trump promoted Conway, who had been a senior adviser, to the role of campaign manager and hired Stephen Bannon, head of the Breitbart News website, as campaign chief executive.

Earlier Saturday in NY, he met with his new National Hispanic Advisory Council for Trump, which will work to help him to focus his message, as well as provide assistance with the campaign’s Hispanic outreach.

Despite the significant increase in fundraising in July, the Trump campaign’s money pot is dwarfed by that of Clinton.

“Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing”, Trump said at the time. He told the overwhelmingly white crowd that he was asking for the vote of “every single African-American citizen” in the country.

“We are going to the White House, and we are going to bring jobs back to this country, and we are going to bring jobs back to Michigan”, Trump said.
