Trump was ‘sarcastic’ on Russia hack

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”, Trump said at the end of the conference.

“This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue”, he said on Wednesday.

This isn’t the first time Trump has been eager for other to hack into his enemies’ private information.

Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas, who serves on the House Intelligence Committee, said, “No presidential candidate should ever encourage Russian Federation or any other nation state actor to steal the private information of American citizens or political parties”.

An investigation was carried out when it was revealed that Ms Clinton used a home email server for work correspondence during her time as Secretary of State instead of setting up an official government account. But Russia has brushed aside suggestions that it was involved.

JACKSON: A Trump aide maintaining the two men have never had a personal relationship, arguing nothing Trump has said publicly contradicts that. Obama also appeared to embrace the notion that President Vladimir Putin might have been responsible because of what he described as Trumps affinity for Putin.

The committee’s emails, which were leaked on the eve of the Democratic National Convention, suggested the Democratic Party favored Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the primaries. The Clinton camp had been clumsily trying to spin the story as an example of the Russians trying to meddle in a US election (Assange has been accused of revealing national secrets and has been given sanctuary by Russian President Vladimir Putin.) And it was that. US handling of such attacks in the past has not been inspiring. Whatever the case in fact, these claims of ties to Russian Federation can only hurt him, even with Americans who think that the United States should have better rather than worse relations with Mr. Putin and Russian Federation, leading, for example, to an end to the war in Syria.

“And frankly, they don’t even know if it’s Russian Federation, if it’s China, if it’s someone else”. Only after a national firestorm and a night’s sleep did Trump say he was joking.

Russian Federation is indignant about allegations that it was involved in hacking the Democratic National Committee and releasing thousands of embarrassing emails through WikiLeaks.

“I think you’ll be rewarded mightily by our press”, he said.

Nearly before Trump left the building, his running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, sought to clarify that the Republican ticket was not in cahoots with Moscow, and attempted to shift the focus back to attacking the Democrats. In a recurring bit called “when keeping it real goes wrong”, various people would decide to say what they really felt, only to face disastrous consequences.

“Attention all hackers: You are hacking everything else so please hack Obama’s college records (destroyed?) and check ‘place of birth, ‘” Trump wrote.
